New to STT\'s, a few allin hands from different stages.

Hand 1

10 handed turbo $11, 2 players left, sb seems pretty decent, pushing in good places etc. Getting almost 6/4 and high blinds, seems like the prefect place to call given i'm 2:1 ahead in...

Re: mid set, drawy board... deep vs. very good reg.

fun hand,

Re: Why does having the initiative matter?

to me its basically the gap concept in one of the 2+2 mtt books. most of the time you need a tighter range to call a bet than you do to make it.

its a redundent(sp) idea once your playing players...

Re: Some random notes from a Full Ring NL Lag

[ QUOTE ]
On the downside, playing a ton of tables at once might be okay for you to really get standard plays and situations embedded in your skull, but it will retard your progress to becoming a...

Re: NL10 6-max - AJ makes 2nd pair vs turn raise

i'd just go allin. your ahead here more than enough. this is the prefect bluff card for diamonds, only two queens, two jacks and 3 combos of 2 left. hard to have have em...

Re: Couple of hands 100 NL

first hand looks cool, i'd bet smaller on the river though. i kinda disagree with josh on the turn but see wheres hes coming from. way i see it... passive dude wont bet two streets unless your beat,...

Re: NL10 - KQs - Let the shortstack take over?

first hand, turn is fine, i'd lead the river though, just run the clock down a little though.

second one, i disagree with wookie, your turn line is prefect vs both types of player at this level,...

Re: AQs blind battle

not sure if its been meantioned...if you call pots $27 and you'll have $16 left, if you plan on getting it in vs an aggressive player(hes lead into pfr twice) calling the turn and pushing whats left...

Re: Party $200nl, river bluff = spew?

i think this is pretty well played, i think a hundro on the river is more than enough, i figure a smaller bet does the same job should he check...

I maybe dumb but he brought in for 200bbs and is down to 150ish and you haven't got an idea of how he plays?

Re: playing against ratholers

of course it is, it's the principle of teaching people who wont think for themselves how to. if somesone isnt doing this then a shortstack pushing every now and then isnt hard. its basically an stt...

Re: I called on turn w/ no real plan for the river

i think this is timing and bet sized based. cutting the action before he bets/check isnt great. id rather say he ebts x amount or checks and pick different rivers.

Re: playing against ratholers

without being rude, dont you see why calling people dumb and helping them over come such a simple sit is a dumb thing for you to do?

Re: 2/4 - 1.) Float 2.) Push 3.) ???? 4.) Profit?

i dont like this, i think its more likely you'll jam a draw/made on the flop. if you'd play an certain hand like this but other dude wont know it its pointless saying it.

hand two...

Re: AA slowplayed in pos 400nl

isnt part of three betting preflop that you'd do it with AA. given you didnt, isnt call flop, bet or call turn here much better?

praetor seems right, although i like the idea if not the bet size. i'm not sure what people think of this but putting someone of this sort allin is asking for a call. i feel they think...hes put me...
