Re: 25nl: turn trips, get checkraised

Am I the only one who thinks checking behind on the turn is the best play as played?

Re: 25nl: turn trips, get checkraised

Against an unknown UTG raiser, I fold preflop. If you're going to call the flop is fine, but I check behind on the turn. I don't think you get any value out of a worse hand by betting the turn

Re: KK is 3bet allin to CB

[ QUOTE ]
and lol at making > pot 3bet preflop, wtf? is that going to make QQ not call?

[/ QUOTE ]Of course QQ is going to call if we make a larger 3bet preflop, that's sort of the point. If...

Re: KK is 3bet allin to CB

I think this is a standard, but high variance spot to stick your money in on. Without having pokerstove at the office, my gut feeling is that overall you're going to be right around a coinflip with...

I also wouldn't raise a short-stacked UTG limper with JTs. I'd rather limp behind. They will be limp/re-raising too often to make the raise profitable.

definitely call on the flop. but i'd fold preflop here. JT is not a good hand to play in this spot. I also wouldn't raise a short-stacked UTG limper with JTs. I'd rather limp behind. ...

Re: NL50 TPTK

I think this is a draw or a worse K often enough to get it in on the turn. I think you see something like KQ very often here.

Re: NL25 76s flops a straight on a one suited board line check

I think I would just go ahead and raise the flop. 4-handed, you don't want to give someone correct odds to draw to a flush that will beat you. As played, I would definitely push the turn.

Re: JJ CRAI turn line

[ QUOTE ]
In my experience bad villains get very scared on monotone flops and go nuts with top pair. He can have a set or 2-p but he can have Tx very often here

Re: JJ CRAI turn line

Against a villain with these stats, I think you're in trouble a lot. I think a player like this is more likely to protect like this with something like a set than Tx. Most solid players would choose...

Re: 25NL: do you ever fold this spot? (weak flush)

I would never fold here, and against a villain with these stats, I would reraise the flop. He makes this raise on the flop with a lot less than a higher flush.

Re: When to commit with PP\'s on ragged overboards.

I wouldn't exactly call the flop ragged. You don't offer any reads, how's UTG+2 playing? It's hard to speak to the hand without any kind of read. I definitely don't like the minraise preflop. If...

Re: 66 - playing in rr pot with no set

I wouldn't 3bet with this preflop unless villain is stealing a lot. As played, I wouldn't bet the river, c/f on turn and river is fine I think.

Re: AA vs a short stack with a full stack cold calling

Well, his stats do in fact indicate that he does hate money. I think his hand is really polarized at this point to weak hands we're crushing and the nuts (or close to it).

Re: AA vs a short stack with a full stack cold calling

I think this is pretty dependent on your read of button, and somewhat dependent on his read of you. If I was button I would only cc here if I thought there was a really good chance you were going to...

Re: When do you \"show cards\" with no showdown?

The only time I ever show is if it's folded to me in the bb and i'm holding aces. I don't know why. I/m sure it's annoying, but I do it /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: NL50 - TT and wet board

Yeah, readless I fold. Especially since this guy is fairly passive.

$25nl - Rivered two pair against an iffy maniac

BB and I have a bit of a history. He started off the session by buying in for $5 and pushing every single hand. He did this until he lost $25 (20 of it to me in 4 consecutive hands). After this, he...

Re: 50NL KK faces flopshove

So you think he's shoving with any pair, any overcard, any draw? that's going to get you in a lot of trouble.

Re: 50NL KK faces flopshove

Just because his preflop range is 56%, doesn't mean his range after he shoves is. I'd say you're looking at 77+, AhTh, J9 or two pair

Re: NL50 - 2pair vs ugly river...

Yeah preflop is pretty lousy. I would raise always preflop. As played, call the river.

Re: Funny river spot with 66, NL50

I'd usually fold the turn although I don't think calling occasionally is bad. Definitely fold the river though.
