meh, he's turning 29 in the offseason and his numbers are trending downwards (granted, not drastically) to the point where he's come back to the pack a bit. With both Beckett and CC's numbers...

There have been rumblings about Lind getting traded because of the lack of space and I have to think Snider's at least two years away (A ball in '07). If Lind sticks around, I have to think the job...

The Sox save 3 mil on the contract swap and there's more money going their way, so you can't really judge this deal until we find out a) how much money that is, and b) how they spend the $3M+
