Re: Things that are negotiable in price that you didn\'t realize...

I didn't read whole thread, but throw-ins are definetely negotiable too.

Buy a TV, make them take $50 off the price of the tv stand, for example. Buy an expensive enough TV, get the stand thrown...

Re: dealing with parents, stigma

$20 an hour blows for poker. You are gonna be real real pissed playing that many hands a day, and know you have to play that many hands a day, to barely make a living.

8-tabling is what, 350hands...

Re: How would you attempt to achieve a solid 11$ hourly rate?

4-table 2/4 sh limit

assume 1.5bb/100 (conservative). 350 hands/hr (conservative). About 5.25bb/hr, or like $21. This is before rakeback and bonuses and the game is pitifully easy.

check behind turn, call a bet on the river pretty much regardless of what comes

Re: Is this standard for anyone?

Not standard at all. If the raise came earlier, or I wasn't on the button, I'd consider folding here.

From the button I pretty easily 3-bet this.

Pretty easy fold w/o a read.

Re: Screech sex tape

So, is it leaked or not? I've been looking around for it but can't seem to find it. I would be genuinely interested in seeing this thing.

Re: set of queens on a dangerous board

With a read, I can raise the turn.

As played I fold the river a good % of the time.

Re: Bad streak, Advice?

There is exactly one way:

Play more hands

However, only play hands if you feel you can play them at your usual ability. If you are hindered by psychological things, then take some time off.

Re: Bet out or check raise the turn?

You have everybody trapped for 3, this should be the easiest flop raise, ever.

Re: How can I get my network set up the way I want?

Statics as in real statics, not internal IPs.

Re: QQ vs. preflop aggressor

I stop raising at this point, and call flop. Then I check/call turn, and either check/call river or play wa/wb and bet/fold river depending on the cards that come and my feel for the player.

Re: Was this just lucky or what?

As played, check/raise the river.

You should check/call the flop and then check/raise the turn though. You are horribly out of position with a marginal hand leading into a decent amount of...

Re: How can I get my network set up the way I want?

Well the wifi router is just being used as a switch/access point now, so those ports have the exact same purpose as the ones on the gateway.

If I connect the router as a router, then I lose the...

Re: a genie offers you a deal

All this does is reduce the game theoretical aspect of poker down to bare minimum.

You can play perfect poker, as defined by the fundamental theorem of poker. This is good, it makes you money,...

Re: AA -- too passive?

Raising the turn is terrible. The ONLY time it's good is when he's semi-bluffing a flush draw, every other case it's bad.

Case1: He has a flush draw, and we charge the most for it. This is...

Re: is this played right

The c-bet has more implications than this single hand. If players see you doing it a lot, and play back at you, it gives you an opportunity to make a lot of money the times they aren't c-bets.

Re: How can I get my network set up the way I want?

yah I think you totally misread my post. I got things working.

I turned off dhcp on the wifi router, and had it act as a switch only (layer2). This way the gateway handled all IP allocation.

Re: results/reasoning

Checking the turn is clearly the best move in my opinion.

1. We are certainly behind in the hand
2. We have no fold equity
3. We have redraw to nuts or nearly so
4. If our opponent is an...
