Re: 200PLO: Big draw!?

Easy push, your hand isn't quite insane enough to REALLY want the SB and BB in or anything.

Re: PLO 5/10 ... 2pr + Nut Flush Draw facing re-raise and call.

Without looking at other responses, I think I'd just call. The raise and cold call show a lot of strength; I think you are probably behind here but you're getting like 3.5-1 to hit your flush draw...

Re: Maybe I suck, or maybe it\'s them?

Oh my bad, thought I saw .25 as the big rather than small. I've still never been a winning player in any game with rake that large, but then when I started playing they didn't have micro-limits.

Re: Should i raise fifth?

If you raise 5th in these situations, do you then get paid off on 6th and 7th? Because it seems like you shouldn't, in which case waiting seems fine or even quite a bit better than fine.

Re: Maybe I suck, or maybe it\'s them?

Yeah, I would think a lower cap would be appropriate. But also, at very low stakes the rake is very hard to beat in general. I'm guessing even beginners would do better at slightly higher stakes,...

Re: High Stakes stud

They do seem to occasionally get really big games on Full Tilt (like 1000/2000). But I'm not sure that's what you mean.

Re: Should i cap every street

You should go ahead and reraise 3rd because the ante is really high and therefore you don't really mind knocking anyone out, ESPECIALLY with your ragged low.

Yeah I'd cap 4th.

6th I'm ok with...

Re: Maybe I suck, or maybe it\'s them?

That's darn close to two big bets of rake. This game is going to be nearly impossible to beat even if you're great.

Re: Final table Against very aggressive player

There certainly is no way to get AWAY from this hand, barring something crazy, but I'd still play it a little slower. You might get a fold if you raise or bet out on 5th.

Re: 2/4 Stud High- 554

Yeah, just fold 3rd. Small pairs aren't very good in multiway pots, even with the straight flush kicker.

Re: How should I have played this?

I assume others have already said this but without looking I say easy fold preflop, keep you out of this mess. But not only for tourney considerations/not wanting to get busted, although they make...

Re: How\'s my play

It looks like hi-low to me, but maybe that just shows how bad I am at that game. Assuming it is:

Still bet 4th, you won't usually get to checkraise. And then check 5th. Everything else seems...

Re: which of these plo noobs will fare best (or worst)?

I think the big bet concepts are harder to learn than the other stuff, sounds like I'm in the minority though.

Put another way, as someone whose closest descriptor before getting into PLO was...

What were you aiming for with your check on the flop?

Re: (WSOP Stud8 1K) Open trips vs. John Juanda

You realize that theoretically YOU could have HIM boardlocked for low right? This means he can't just fold everything against you, and he can't just raise any low.

5/10 hand I found interesting

I have KKJT with 3 hearts, 2nd to act. UTG folds, I raise to 30, folds to SB who calls, BB folds. Don't have a ton of hands with SB but she's seen the flop 80% of the time and has never raised...

Re: Two WSOP event Stud 8 hands

In general you'll get better discussion with two separate threads...

Hand 1 I think the peel on 4th is ok and 5th is a call.

Hand 2 I'd probably bet out on 4th, good things can happen. 5th is...

Wow, that leaves JJ's range pretty darn wide.

Re: WSOP 5K HORSE - Stud/8 Hand

I'm with Andy, try for a checkraise on 4th and/or 5th, this bet and 3-bet plan puts a ton of money in the pot BEFORE trying to make the guy fold.

Re: Sometimes I bet - nut flush on paired board PL100

I'll ignore the earlier streets to focus on your question.

No, it's not crazy to value bet here and I'm even in favor of SOMETIMES betting the pot here. Especially if you have one of those guys...

Re: 5/10 PLO, C-bet in position?

Like I said, I have absolutely no hearts. Nor did I have a backdoor draw. I would definitely lean towards betting with the Kh. In fact I'm leaning towards betting anyway, as a friend mentioned to...

Re: razz: should I have bet this river?

I find that people in razz get fancy less than a lot of other games. In other words I play it exactly like you did. Fine check, easy fold, move on.
