I've been playing almost exclusively on FTP for a long time, but I often hear good things about PStars. I've been thinking about switching, but is stars that much better than tilt?

Which do you...

Re: Looking to step up my game and play in some \"bigger\" Live MTT\'s

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I don't mind the travel expense though, fyi. The problem I have with the big online games is I play mostly on full tilt and I think I'm not loving their...

Re: Looking to step up my game and play in some \"bigger\" Live MTT\'s

what are the buy ins for the satellites do you think?

I'd love to play like a $50-100 mtt or sitngo, then parley it to a satellite entry... i'd rather not play a game with only one payout, unless...

Looking to step up my game and play in some \"bigger\" Live MTT\'s

I am a winning player that so far has been playing small online stakes.
The last Live MTT I played in (other than bar games here in atlanta)was about 2 years ago. It was in A.C. at house of blues...

Re: How can I take this guys roll

they might be bots. i can't imagine a sane person having the patience to do this.

my question is how does he/she/it act to a reraise? i'd reraise once just to see if you get an auto fold. if it...

Re: My boneheaded play

i'm a little confused, but it sounds like the reckless player sucked out on both of you, but you personally would have lost the pot in any case as the other player had your jacks beat.

but i...

Re: am I losing too much by not bet/folding?

see, that's what i was thinking, check call for the s.d. is better than bet fold... i usually only bet if i'm certain i'll call a raise or if i'm certain i'm ahead.
plus if i check call i get the...

am I losing too much by not bet/folding?

Recently I was looking at my game and I've been having some problems folding on the river. Part of the problem comes from SSHE where it's advised that folding the best hand on the river is one of...

Re: Could I have played this any worse??

all i have to say is... YOU CHECKED THE RIVER?
the only read you had correct in the entire hand is when you suspected someone hit trips on the the flop.

you raised the turn and got called by 4...

Re: $6.50 Early Lvl Flush Draw

but can you count the overs as 100% outs. the bettor may have a set or straight, so only the flush wins in that case.
i'd count it as more like 10 or 11 outs. no?

Re: $105+9. Do you absolutely have to push here on button?

hey, i'm not taking offence at all.
like i said, a lot of the times i'm pushing with that hand as well, but all i did was offer a counter opionion because i thought that the all in was not absolute...

Re: $105+9. Do you absolutely have to push here on button?

it does seem that whenever i push with ace rag i get called by something silly and lose to it.

but if you do get called with A4, arent' you pretty much risked about $150 real dollars(approx the...

Re: $105+9. Do you absolutely have to push here on button?

that's part of the reason i'm here.

ok. give me a very clear reason why it's absolute that you have to push here though.

what makes it a +EV call every time?

Re: $105+9. Do you absolutely have to push here on button?

i didn't suggest the min raise thing was a good idea, just another option.
i'd not want to look at an all in re-raise either.

Re: $105+9. Do you absolutely have to push here on button?

what is sngpt?

hey, i'm willing to concede that it's a mistake not to push. but i also do not think that any decision in poker is a clear cut EVERY time move.
it may be correct 99% of the time,...

Re: $105+9. Do you absolutely have to push here on button?

i'm not playing the math right now. i'm playing for first, so all i'm saying is there are times i would fold this hand when it's 3 handed, we're in the money and i'm the middle stack.

big stack...

Re: $105+9. Do you absolutely have to push here on button?

Ad 4s vs. Qh 6h, the ace is only a 55% 44% fav.
do you really want to flip a coin to go out in third?

first of all, i'm already in the money here, so losing my coin flip actually costs me quite...

exactly my point.
but he left out some key info.

are they the type of players to call any all in or are they folders?

big stack might not want to lose 25% of his chips, but maybe he's a...

Re: $105+9. Do you absolutely have to push here on button?

I would not push here.
the BB is about 4 to 1 chip lead over you. if he has almost any ace he's ahead, not to mention good pairs.
you're not on the bubble anymore and you have enough chips to wait...

Re: losing your money after being up in a session... Help please.

i didn't mean that every session starts with me immediately winning, but i would say that after 30minutes to an hour in most sessions, i am up, maybe not always double, but up, nonetheless.

but it...
