I don't think there's value in skipping the blinds. You're just as likely to be dealt AA or KK in the blinds as you are in the cutoff...so why not take the cards?

Yes, bad beats happen to all of us. Poker mixes elements of skill and luck. Over the long run the "luck part" evens out. Your job is to make sure you have the "skill part" under control.
