2nd Nut facing small turn bet

1/2 at the B&M. I have literally sat down just four hands ago. In those hands and a couple I watched before I sat down, villain folded either preflop or limped then folded the flop. I don't think...

Re: $1-2 hand from Vegas

[ QUOTE ]
I'm sure he had something weakish or maybe even air b/c he checked without much thought so he may have not even called my river bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't like to slow roll, but if I...

Re: working out how lucky/unlucky I am

[ QUOTE ]
My maths sucks, please help. Last night I played 3 all-in hands in a row where I was 45%, 65% and 75% favourite respectively to win. I lost all 3. How do I work out what the percentage...

Re: chopping blinds or not? opinion from headsup expert

I'm interested in this thread because I'm hoping for a discussion on the benefits of creating 'action and stress' vs. a more easygoing mood. I have tended to agree with posters in the past that say...

Protecting your action

1/2 No limit dealer's choice.
I have folded UTG.

There is a raise to $10, called by the woman in seat 10, after her there is a reraise to $20 by LP, called by CO and Button.
Then BB reraises to...

Thanks. I quoted the post on the other site. I'll keep you updated with responses.

There is some really silly math going on over on that site

Re: Live $100 NL FR - how much should I bet to protect my hand here?

[ QUOTE ]
I bet $60, but in retrospect I think the PSB (basically a push) is the right move here. Given my table image (that I'm prone to being sucked out on), I don't the 9 calls a shove, but the...

Re: NL25 AA-set reraised on river

[ QUOTE ]
Am I missing something? You have a set of As, push. Only JT beats you.

He's probably a lot more concerned about T7.
Everyone has it right tho, see if he's going to...

Re: 100 KQ

Any reads on the button?

I definitely CB this flop.

As played I call the river. It may be a beauty value bet but he also can't put you on TPGK.

1/2NL Live: AQ turn play

Villain is a regular in this game and probably a winning player. His PFR is probably just under 10% and he does CB, but he is often quite passive in a hand where another person has already shown...

Re: Counting Chips Quickly

If you're going to try to write a length and polite response every time someone on these forums spits a sarcastic insult, you are in for a lot of wasted time.

And definitely do stacks of 20 chips,...

Re: Raising for information

[ QUOTE ]
All in all, my inclinations is to shove all-in here. You are most likely going to put a lot of pressure on a hand like KK, AQ, KQ or even QJ. Heck some guys might even do this with...

Re: Uh, this felt shady

The most instructive thing I took from this thread was AJ's "That's why you could play Jx this way and get paid off". With the reasoning you're using it sounds like you should be saying "so I knew...

Re: OOP with A-Q- playing a bad player

Ya you've really underrepresented your(strong) hand here.
Personally I have no qualms with playing a pretty big pot against a bad player and you could have made this one even bigger than it was

Re: 1/2 KK - scary flop?

I much prefer a push on the flop, because we aren't folding to a raise... and if we get called, a $70 bet into a ~$200 pot is the only option left on the turn.

1/2 KK - scary flop?

A friend starting out at NL would really appreciate comments from the forum.

Hero has KK in MP, no useful reads
Hero has about $150 and is covered by Villain.

Preflop:
3 limpers, Hero raises...

Amount for a verbal raise in NL

I believe that this may have been discussed long ago, and there probably would have been a disagreement, but I can't find any posts about it.
This has come up a few times recently for me in live...

Re: Reopening the betting in the Foxwoods $1-2NL

[100% to reopen] is true in NL. In LHE it's a 50% rule.

Re: really bad angleshoot at Argosy, dealer clueless am I a NIT?
