Re: Stars 16 QQ Bubble

Seeing AA or KK makes it less probable that AT or 99 or whatever is in his range.

Why would this be true? Anyone doing this with AT or 99 would also be likely to do...

Why do people assume stars or 2p2 lawyers? I instantly assumed it was the lawyers for the player who was caught cheating.

I still don't understand what they could have threatened 2+2 with. What would 2+2 have been scared of?

What? You can't just get an emergency injunction forcing someone to do something with no legal justification.

Good point Patty. How do you "settle up" with someone who was eliminated from a tournament by 363 & friends? Or who was eliminated later after 363 took a chink of their stack?

Re: Cheating at AP, updated cliff notes

As an aside, how incredibly lucky is Poker Stars? If the whole WCOOP ME/thev0id scandal had broken any other time it would have dominated conversation for weeks. As is, it's become an afterthought....

Re: Cheating at AP, updated cliff notes

Seems to me that the most honest (and effective) position to take would be to say "I, for one, would be at least somewhat satisfied with a full refund of all funds that the superusers won. I think...

Re: Cheating at AP, updated cliff notes

Not a high-limit player, but I think that your suggestion sounds reasonable as far as satisfying the cheated players, but wholly implausible as far as keeping AP's name and reputation unsullied. The...

I'm not sure if I agree with this. I'm not sure that I don't either. KQ is a hand that, depending on the specific situation, is either just out of a typical raising range or at the...

Re: AKs ugly flop and donkbet into me

So the pot's 600 on the flop, he bets 450 on the flop, you have 1960 left. I assume you don't have the AhKh. I think I call and see what he does on the turn. This sure feels like AT or AQ to me, so...

Re: Dealing with the big stack to my left

Stop raising with marginal hands like KQ. The point of a raise is to get people to fold or to build a pot. Since you know you're not getting him to fold, and you don't want to build a pot with KQ,...

Re: Standard early situation w/ AK

Jam. If you win - hooray! If you lose - booo!

In a $24, this could easily be AQ, this could be a player confused about when to use the squeeze, this could be 66.

Re: Iso push here feels weird

The size of the bb's stack matters far more than most posters seemed to realize since several people advocated shoving before you said the bb was at 2.3k. With a short-stacked bb, I just shove. If...
