Re: $60 L1 KK and odd flop
Definite raise on the flop. It is unlikely that SB has AK here since you have two of the Ks and he didn't reraise preflop. SB could have 89, but you would still have 7 outs to make a higher str8. ...

Re: $22+$2 double SS bubble
I push here.
1. The short stack doesn't have that much less than you. You can't just wait for him to get knocked out with blinds this big.
2. You still have enough chips to make the bigger stacks...

Re: PS $27 JJ vs. open raise
- I don't like pushing - you are risking $1535 to win $275.
- I don't like calling - you don't want to entice the BB and UTG+1 to call along. JJ is much stronger heads up than multiway
- I...

one more thing . . . turning passive like this on the flop when you are raised is a very exploitable weakness. I will stick in a raise against weaker opponents like this in position all the time. I...

Re: Live KK multiway hand
3 bet the flop. You really want to get the other limpers out of the hand.
The only reason to call the raise on the flop is to put in a c/r on the turn. I don't like calling the raise on the flop...

Call. I doubt villian has a bigger set here. If you are behind to a str8 you have nice outs to pull off the FH.

call preflop and hope the other two limpers come along and give you great odds to draw to your set.

Re: 100 USD - 99 as an overpair
I don't like raising the flop. Any kind of decent reraise here (60ish) commits around half your stack. If you are called or reraised you pretty much have to abandon the hand (after a substainial...

Re: 10/20 at the borg...thinkin of moving up
I've played the 10/20 game a few times (weekend evenings) and the game is pretty soft. Lots of calling stations, a few LAGs and a few TAGs. I once saw a little old Greek lady go to showdown with J...

I don't mind your flop line as a way to mix it up. I would do this like 20% of the time and 3bet it the other 80%.
River is a pretty easy value bet.

Re: Strategy playing 3/6 with donkeys
I still wouldn't be playing 57s from an early position. To call with hands like this you need to be in a later position with LOTS of callers and NO RAISE. In early position, you just don't know what...

Tough spot to be in. How I'd play it depends on my read of the button. In general though, I'd say you are beat when he puts in that raise on the turn.

Even at these really loose 3/6 games I would not be calling with trash hands. What are you hoping to flop with a T7o? Flush draws are out of the question. Your chance of flopping a str8 or and...

At 3/6 live, yes the suckouts are frequent and frustrating. Your variance can be high, but if you play simple straight forward poker, you will win. My suggestions below are for 3/6 live . . . If...

Another reason for open-raising rather than open-limping is that an open-raise will give you more information when someone raises behind you than if you are raised when you limp.
For example, if...
