Re: BBV CONFESSION
I don't know how to teach someone not to tilt, but at least set some goals for yourself. If your game is no-limit, I'd advise you to play at a level where you have at least 20 buy-ins, and to play...

Re: Very common flop situation
I'm not sure what to put him on, but you should repop the flop.
As played, that turn ace knocked out a lot of your chances of being ahead. I'm OK with the fold there. But the flop is too weak.

QJs hits top pair, straight draw
Villain is a 17/5.6/4.9/941 regular. Beyond his tight stats, I'd say he's a decent player who can fold AA.
How would you have played this differently?

Re: opinions on turn action please
If I have nothing else to go on, I'd say raise more on the flop, like 3/4-full pot. I don't know if you always vary your bet sizes or whatever, but your hand, while very strong, isn't so good that...

Re: 200NL Thoughts on this bluff?
<grunch> I don't see why the turn is bad. But that weak flop is a perfect cbetting opportunity, especially given your preflop action.
If you're trying to represent the flush, I think it's almost...

passive player wakes up on flush river
I haven't been playing at this table long, but I can already see villain is quite loose. Do you call the river? Do you do anything differently on the other streets?

Re: 66 bluff catcher?
I should have said he reraises a lot preflop when he does raise.
I guess my question would be "is this a good way to play 66 against this type of player?" Obviously the river is gravy.

66 bluff catcher?
Opponent is 52/9/4.1/194. He raises and reraises a lot, especially preflop.

Hanging around with AQo on a middling paired board
Villain is 48/2/1.28/117. I played against him once before and decided he was buddy-list worthy. He's the reason why I took a shot at 1/2 last night. He's loose-passive, obviously, and I've seen him...

Re: tough river spot with topset in 3bet pot
Bet closer to the size of the pot on the flop. Bet the turn--at least half the pot. I like two-thirds or so. Remember that you have 10 outs to the boat on the river, in addition to already having top...

Re: 100nl - AA - Horrible Flop
It's better to bet the flop and fold to a raise than to call his flop bet and fold to his turn bet. Take the lead on the flop. You let him take control of this hand because you're scared of a queen....

Re: Playing against LAGs - is it worth it?
SnglMalt is correct. What he describes is an ideal table. I was just thinking I would take Mr. 70/30, Ms. 50/20 and Baby 50/10 in any position I can get them. If you can get them sitting where you...

Re: Playing against LAGs - is it worth it?
*grunch* In your example hand, lead the flop or checkraise him. Consider reraising preflop. Don't just call down with 88. I'm not crazy about you slowplaying/calling down with AA, let alone 88.

Re: Frequent flop raiser plays back at my TPTK
OK. I typically make a pot-sized cbet, maybe pot size -$1. If the pot's $8.10, I'll make it $7 or $8. How much more would you make it? (I realize that I didn't bet as much as usual in this...

Re: 200NL Give this SS a Range

His range should be ahead of you. I'm not calling that raise. AK, KQ, KJ are all quite likely given his stats. But It wouldn't be a complete suprise to see something like JJ/TT there...
