Re: Require health insurance assistance

$1000 per year (if that is an accurate figure) is more than affordable. I find it hard to believe that you couldn't find $3 a day to trim from your budget.

Many of the uninsured in America are...

Re: PDT 2/2 : Why has tipping increased?

I think Dids (and some others) have unintentionally hit on the real reason that tips are increasing.

While the relative wealth of the country has increased, the average person's perception of...

Re: What\'s Cooking EDF #5

I made a cake last night for Thanksgiving dinner. My wife's grandmother used to make a chocolate cake that had a "tunnel" of fudge running through the center. She stopped making it in the early...

My mom gave me a pre-seasoned Lodge Logic cast iron pan recently. I went out and bought a rib eye steak and followed Alton Brown's method for cooking steaks. You can find this on Youtube. ...

Re: PETA documentary last night

Spinal cord is probably the strangest thing I've eaten, it was just chewy and fatty.

All of the following were also on the menu at the kebab place I used to go to in Tel Aviv when drunk at 3AM:

Re: Do you want to have children?

My wife and I just had our second child on Thursday. We both knew that we wanted kids and are very happy with our choice.

As for the "I don't like babies" crowd, I was completely with you. I...

OP,

I think Vava hit the nail on the head; it sounds like you get night terrors. I've been getting them for years. There is no real "cure", but I find if I stick to a routine, it...

Re: Review of Crown Royal Cask #16?

Mixing anything other than an ice cube or a splash of water with a $100 bottle of whisky is pointless. This isn't meant to be snobbish. You don't buy an expensive bottle to cover up the flavor with...

Re: Help Me Select A Watch for MY 40th B-Day

The gold goes better with a buisness/suit look. That is much more improtant, in my opinion. The watch isn't so ostentatious that it would look out of place with jeans (with either face). You...

Re: Couples with differing views on religion

Plus, there is plenty about religion which is more about family and traditions than it is about god. It would make me very sad to see my family's traditions die. God has very little to do with it.

Re: Neccessary Kitchen Items

Do you mean pots + pans? If so, you don't need much. One decent sized skillet (not teflon), one saucepan (1-2 qt) and one large pot for boiling water (pasta) is really all you absolutely need. ...
