10-20 blind play

This is a goofy hand. SB has $1300, I cover.

folded to him. He's been raising every time he's sb and it's folded to him. I've been calling most pots and floating, taking it away a lot of the...

Re: Thought Provoking Nut Flush Draw Hand

I would usually push here as you have good equity against the pfr and you may get a pair to fold behind you. You will usually have ~12 outs vs. the pfr (sometimes more) and a lot of money in the...

Re: New to 2+2 or HSMTT? Introduce yourself!

Hi,

I'm Jeff. I've been playing poker a long time (since 2000) and am now currently playing for a living until my non-compete runs out in 3 months (programmer in the trading industry). I've done...

Thanks for responses. Just making sure... When I thought about it as I went to bed I realized I had to shove because his calling range was so redic.

Re: LOL donkaments (main event)

Yeah, the overlay there has to be nice if you're decent at poker. I'm more of a cash game guy, but I'd play in this event again - it was sooooo soft. The tourney started great for me because the 5...

Re: LOL donkaments (main event)

Here's the hand:

10 handed table.

Blinds 200-400 Ante 50 (level 4)

CO w/ 50k raises to 1500, folded to me in blind w/ KK (~28k), I raise to 4000 (a little smallish).

CO calls.

LOL donkaments (main event)

I [censored] hate tournaments.

Beat: Am out of the main event the first hand after the dinner break. I essentially get 30k in chips in the pot with KK vs. A9s on a 289r board. Ace on the river...

Re: Hero call time?

That was what I was thinking Bobbo. I thought his range was heavily weighed towards draw + air hands - w/ maybe a slight chance of AA-QQ, JT. I couldn't see him doing this with a random J or set. ...

Re: Hero call time?

I don't care about spots really. Is it +EV to call in this exact situation given history and the fact he thinks I'm weak tight.

Hero call time?

Very aggro LAG (35/32) who's been 3-betting me relentlessly on another table and has ~1k (I cover) is main villain. He doesn't seem that good though, and has been getting out of line every street...

Re: overbet push from terrible player

The problem with waiting is that you want to get his money before the other players do. This isn't a tournament, there isn't a reason to wait for a better spot if this one is +EV and you'll still...
