Re: 25 nl horrendously butchered kq from sb

I actually thought this wasn't played too bad /images/graemlins/confused.gif
The flop bet is too small but other than that i don't see a problem with it. You can't bet/3-bet this flop after he's...

Re: I will mentor you for free

I don't know that i'm the type of player you're looking for as i'm really just starting out in poker. I feel i've got a reasonable grasp of the basics but can't apply them to situations very well. I...

Re: AJo OOP--multiple limpers

Is it too nittish to want to fold here? You're OOP with an easily dominated hand that has little chance of hitting a monster. I just think there's too much of a chance that we'll get 3+ callers and...

Re: 25NL - 87s hit trips on river, call a push?

I don't think a raise is a must here at all.

I think villain's cards are polarized into busted draws with no showdown value and the other 7. If we raise here what do we expect to get called by...

Re: Flopped TPTK on 3 suit flop

I can't believe so many people want to fold. This is BVB and tags can easily make this play with busted flushdraws. I'd say villain catching 2 pair is far more likely than a set or flush. Why...

Re: NL25 small flush hit and vilain raise

I think shoving the turn can be very proftable. In blind battles i find players to look you up light and i can't see villain folding a set or a decent 2 pair. As played river call is good.

Re: 30NL - 6max - JJ deep

This is why i hate jacks. The only thing i'd say is that i don't think there's any point in 3-betting preflop this deep. Because of stack sizes, he's gonna get huge implied odds with most of his...

Re: 50 NL trips on turn w good kicker... hows my line?

I'd prefer checking on the turn with the idea being to CRAI when he bets. This can get an extra bet out of other pocket pairs or high cards floating on that flop. If villain has a queen the money's...

Re: JT for messy two pair bet into...

If you wanna play it preflop youhave to open raise to take those blinds. From there i would fold flop. There's too much chance that your outs aren't clean anyway. Definitely fold turn. You're behind...

Re: 50NL KK

I think you played this well. Against a 24/15/3 i don't think you're getting much balue on the turn. I think draws aren't much of his range on the turn (9T already got there) and i think you only...

Re: 50NL Full House, River Action

I bet about 35-40. He's calling with heaps you beat but a shove's just too much. Obviously call shove.

Re: Am I maximizing value from flopped sets! NL50, Full Tilt

I think you played them fine. My default line is to generally bet strongly with sets and sometimes slow play if it's a dry board. There's an argument for checking behind turn on hand 3. He's not...

Re: K high flsh draw w/ top pair to preflop reraiser???

I dunno if you get enough fold equity here to shove. It really depends whether you ca get overpairs with no club to fold. Overpairs are almost entirely villain's range. I very rarely see a limp 3-bet...

Re: NL100 - Bottom 2

3-bet flop is an option but i don't mind how you played it. Personally i'd c/c river because i don't think he's calling a third street with much that we beat. Hopefully we can get some missed draws...

Re: Couple of marginal overpairs facing raise on flop, what to do?

I think being a higher stakes player he's more used to people raising c-bets light. I just don't see it happen at all really in the micros. I'd want a good read to continue here.

On second...

Re: NL 20 Combo draw on turn in 3bet pot | 150bb deep

3-betting light is ok at times but i'd probly want a better hand than that to do it with. Don't get to greedy with your resteals. there'll be better places than this to do it. On flop i'd probly...

Re: River bluff - does it work often enough?

Yeah against a station at these limits i hate it. Is he really calling the flop with anything you beat? Maybe 56 but nothing else. He can easily have a boat here and players at these limits don't...

Re: AJ flops trips

Does a 21/11 really call preflop OOP with Ax? I just can't seeing him turning up with things you beat. A9 at a pinch? This really is a terrible spot and in all honesty i think it's a fold. Not that...

Re: NL5 AQo how is my line?

With AQo OOP i'm looking for any way to fold it. I'd be folding preflop. Once the queen hits i'd probly raise the flop and then shutdown to any further action. Noway do i wanna play for stacks OOP in...

Re: Bad river call?

Instant call. He can do this with sets, straights or any flush (maybe even worse). You've got huge odds now get it in. Nicely played too.

Re: QQ nl50

Shove with semi-fistpump. Shorties do this with any overpair and it could easily be a draw of some sort. This is particularly profitable if you've been c-betting a lot. Villain's often tell...

Re: Couple of marginal overpairs facing raise on flop, what to do?

Hand 1 without a read i think i just fold. In a vacuum this is way too often a set for me to want to continue. If i know he can make plays or is loose and likes to play TPTK like this i'd probly call...

Re: 50NL - flopped trips facing resistance

High variance spot for sure because i think you're behind often. However check calling the turn and then checking the river looks super weak. I think there's no way he'll put you on the 9 so i'd be...

Re: NL 20, can i make Hero call on river in this pot?

I think calling here's terrible. Someone almost certainly has a 10. Personally ilove raising here as the big stack as long as i've got a decent image and the villain's aren't calling stations. Most...

Re: 10 NL NFD facing min raise

I think with position you have to just call and try to hit your flush cheaply. I hate shoving because min-raises are generally air or nuts so you're only getting called by hands you don't have odds...
