Re: 3-bet pot AI decision NL 100

Sure, but "sometimes" isn't "often." If you want to include KK/AA in your range, then go ahead. But I'd recommend you discount them at least somewhat.

"You wont see KK-AA here often at all"

umm, what?

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you implying players at this limit don't often 4-bet AA/KK from UTG?

Re: 3-bet pot AI decision NL 100

[ QUOTE ]
We need about 34% equity to make the call.
We get close to that with a range like this :
Hand 0: 32.905% 30.53% 02.38% 51678 4027.50 { JJ }
Hand 1: 67.095% ...

Re: 50k review 100nl

What fold bb to steal % is considered good? Honestly, 80%+ seems a bit high to me. But maybe I'm a donkey out of the blinds.

Re: gutshot

Anyone else just flat call the raise preflop since we're OOP and closing the action? I think this may be better than 3-betting because it keeps us out of trouble and if we hit the flop we can c/r...

Re: Bankroll beginnings

[ QUOTE ]
Yeah I'm at 40K with like 600 hours played this year playing mainly 200nl 6 max. With a better win rate could be higher. If I could extent that to 40 hours a weak obv enough to live on. ...

Re: Bankroll beginnings

50k a year should be piece a cake for a solid NL200 winner. I'll let you know when I've played pro for a year.

Re: Bankroll beginnings

For those saying it is possible to grind out a living at 1/2, what do you consider to be "a living?" 50k a year? 100k a year? I'd love to hear what those who are actually doing this right now are...

Re: When do you \"show cards\" with no showdown?

[ QUOTE ]
Why would you show after winning loads of hands? you want them to think you are loose/aggresive so u get value when u have a hand.

[/ QUOTE ]

This isn't always the case. You can...

Re: KK facing AI on the turn

You need to do some work on hand reading. Villain's range doesn't include AA, and rarely will include AK here. AQs is possible if he's holding...

Re: When do you \"show cards\" with no showdown?

I don't think showing outside of showdown has much value at these limits. You aren't playing with anyone long enough for that type of information to be really effective. If you were playing...

Re: How\'s my line?

If you aren't going to 3-bet the flop, I'd like to see you lead the turn. I don't like a c/r here unless it's for his full stack (edit: you're too deep for this!).

Re: 25NL- Preflop with QQ

[ QUOTE ]
OP has not even invested 10% of his stack, and should fold here readless.

This is really nitty, IMO. We have 15% of the effective stacks in already, and Hero is probably...

Re: 25NL- Preflop with QQ

I disagree with folding. Your 3-bet puts you past the commitment threshold, as you've already put in almost 15% of the effective stacks. Push and enjoy some high variance.

Re: A discussion with Corsakh - 3betting pairs from the blinds

This thread points out one of the biggest reasons PokerTracker needs 3-bet and call 3-bet as stats. I can't wait for PokerTracker 3 to come out. I'm always lost in this situation, so I default to...

Re: With hands like this, am I just pot, pot, potting?

Nothing that I see. You are compelled to bet the turn because the board is wet. The only reason I would consider slowing on the turn is to c/r ai if I know he would bet a draw when checked to. ...

Re: With hands like this, am I just pot, pot, potting?

How many hands on your villain? He is very aggressive over whatever sample you have. You can certainly vary your play somewhat (example, consider checking to him on the river to induce a bluff from...

It doesn't mean anything. PokerEV is only effective at calculating all-in situations. The "total winnings" measure is completely worthless in a vacuum. The software states very clearly that it...

Re: 50NL KK faces flopshove

Would a made hand from BB really take this line? I'm wondering if even a 1.2 AF would lead for less than 1/2 pot, then shove over our raise (which I think should be bigger, IMO maybe 9.50-10.00). ...

Re: What are the standard raise/re-raise/ bet amounts?

When in doubt, bet 2/3 Pot. It is a good "in between" for a postflop betsize. If you don't know what size is good, just bet 2/3 until you figure it out with experience.

Re: extraction river plan.

[ QUOTE ]
I'd target his top pair hands for a call here. Since he seems loose, a push has a good chance of being called - it's only a moderate overbet of the pot.

It would have been easier to...

Re: extraction river plan.

Arr in. This could be a badly played AJ, AQ, or even AK. Indeed pushing wins less often, but I feel it is often enough given how BB has played the turn to make it most profitable.

Re: 25 NL. Facing all in re-raise on river, holding low pair

I'm going to disagree with earlier posts that said fold preflop and modify that advice to - "fold preflop unless you know how to handle a dominated Ace out of position." I think there is value in...

Re: NL2 6 max [AA]

Against a 90/21, you should be felting your rockets as fast as humanly possible. Raise larger on the turn. Give it some real meat, maybe make it $1.00 to go. Jam the turn.

Re: $10NL Flopped Set Monotone Board

His stack size makes this a bit rough. If he has the flush, then we have 7 outs on the turn against him, and will have 10 outs on the river if we don't hit on the turn. So, we have outs, and...
