Re: Whats the plan on the turn? 25nl

I fold possibly on the turn, definately on the river. The turn card really didnt help you, even though you hit two pair with it!

This donk is likely to hold a Q here and even if he has air or...

Re: NL50 QQ pf vs. lag...

I think in this spot he villain could well have you crushed. Over the sample of hands you have he doesnt raise pre flop that often so the fact he's willing to play for his stack here would worry me....

Re: NL25 AKo from CO against 3bet from SB

Im not sure about the maths side of things but if you 4bet AI against a guy who you know 3bets light quite often then you're well ahead of his range a lot of the time. If villain turns over AA or KK...

Re: TT in BB gets 4-bet pf

Fold, 3-betting with 10 10 to a btn raise is fine, carrying on after villain 4bets you would be a mistake because he is only doing that with QQ-AA and AK and even if he has AK its a coin flip.

Re: NL50 - How bad is this?

Thinking about it I guess calling flop and turn makes a lot more sense but I really dislike the call button, especially two streets running!

Re: NL 10: Monster or Some Type of Weird Bluff?

Villain is certainly implying he hit his straight and the action on the previous rounds supports that.

Instant fold here IMO.

Re: TPTK, semi deep against a tag

Im not a huge fan of the flop check. Its a re-raised pot, you're OOP so play it fast. Bet for value, and if he raises you should be able to lay down TPTK.

NL50 - How bad is this?

Villain is 16/12/3 over a very small sample. Havnt noticed anything out of the ordinary, possibly a bit nittish. How do I play this differently?

Full Tilt Poker, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game,...

Re: Well I know what I\'d do with QQ here

Villains range pre flop is probably 1010+ AK-AJ, possibly some suited connectors and maybe a whole host of other hands depending on your reads pre flop.

His flop cbet is standard on that dry board...

Re: 10 NL: Crappy spot with an overpair?

At 10 NL im willing to go broke here, the amount of times you see villain willing to risk his stack with a pair of 8's through to A's is unreal.

If he has a 7, KK or AA then so be it. I feel this...

Re: Poll Question

I generally fold to unknown.

I 4-bet this if villain has stats of lets say 25/20/2 because he knows i open lighter from the button and therefore 3 bets me lighter as a result. A 4 bet will give...

raise pf!! you dont want to see a flop before building a pot, you want to build a pot while you have a huge equity edge.

Re: AKo - What about this line?

It seems fine to me. Probably raise it up to 5 or so on the river.

Re: Slow down??

Generally re-raised pots at 50nl will narrow the average villains range to JJ+, AK, possibly AQ/AJ.

So without any reads, your crushed by JJ, KK, AA and splitting with AK. The only hands you're...

Re: 25NL TPTK multiway

As said before bet more on the flop. Call the turn, revaluate the river.

Its a dry dry board so you have to assume that CO and MP have some interest. Q with a lesser kicker is a strong part of...

Re: 25 NL - Slow play a set and then....

Was pretty sure he had the straight as well, I was annoyed that I had slowplayed it and paid him. Sure enough he turned over 44, lesson learned.

Yeah, I crazily opened for my whole stack!

I could have opened for $20 but didnt fancy being raised all in and facing a tough decision.

Similarly if called and lets say a diamond drops on the...

25 NL - Slow play a set and then....

Think i played this one badly. Villain is about 22/9/2 over 100 hands or so.

Is slow playing this really bad? I figured it was an ok spot for it as the board was pretty dry.

What should I...

Re: 200nl, TT against donk, calling too thin?

Im not sure i like cbetting half pot OOP against 2 fairly loose/aggresive opponents. On the flop I may well go for a check/call and re evaluate the turn.

As played Villains turn bet seems really...

Re: 25 NL (6 Max) - Tough Spot Multiway Deep Stacked...

Sounds like solid advice cubase, wish i had thought like that at the time! Decided to push SB folds, BB calls. He has 33 rather predictably.

Any chance of a link to the pokeya article please?
