Why? That's more likely to make me unhappy.

What makes me happy are the things...

Re: What will make you happy?

Working hard for something I really enjoy or deem important and overcoming challenges seem to do the trick for me but my contentedness is never long-lasting. I have a really nice girlfriend but she...

Re: weak full house 5/10

with this history and preflop action villain probably puts you on a smaller pocketpair or a float. IMO folding here would be terrible, id call and snap of a 3rd barrel which he is gonna fire here...

Re: 600NL 54s on 5888 board

Re: Top 2 on turn, action?

looks like the nutflush-draw or a set, sometimes youre splitting here (assuming a decent opponent).
so most of the time the ace doesnt really help you.
depending on your read this is not an easy...

Re: Stars 2/4 Flop top set, fold turn.

youve got 10 outs to fill up which gives you 1 to 3.6.
you only get about 1 to 3.1 but taking implied odds into account this is an easy call.
you only have to get in like 70ish on the river

Re: PP 3/6 Blind battle...i do this sometimes

fold preflop.
if you intend to take it down checkraise flop as youre more likely to have an ace than the buttonraiser in this situation.
leading looks just fishy and a checkraise allows you to trap...

Re: Flopped trips... but Rock won\'t leave... Now what?

isnt it pretty obvious how it works better?
pushing gives you a chance to extract value from worse hands whereas chk/calling does not.
better hands will always be paid off by us.
potsize doesnt...

Re: Flopped trips... but Rock won\'t leave... Now what?

check/calling is horrible in this spot.
you pay of better hands and worse hands check behind.
just push it

Re: NL 1/2 - Weak Tight needs feedback...KK vs LAG

by just calling the flop you allow the lag to put you on a decision for your stack on the turn while he can still fold. the turn brought a great card for a lag and he did just that.
by 3betting the...

Re: All-in on turn?

your line looks alot like a donkey who doesnt know what to do with his QQ or similar when an ace hits. therefore id always call the push. a set in position would probably not overpush the turn. if he...

Re: flop v DirkPitt

check/fold sounds way too nitty.
i think this spot is highly read/image dependent.
is he able to fold a lower set? what is his reraising range?
do you ever chk/raise all in without the nuts? do...

Re: Deep stacks vs a 2+2er--my flush beomes weak like the Ukraine.

villain can easily put you on a scared flush as you probably wouldnt slowplay a monster on this flop and his river bet is abc to let a donk with a flush pay a boat. if he is abc tag who doesnt get...

Re: the freaks are out at FTP tonight

he had an 8-outer and semibluffs are a pretty common thing.
depending on stack sizes, image, bluffing frequency etc his play isnt necessarily bad.

Re: Gabe Kaplan - Hot or Not?

sheikhan pots flop and turn, todd calls with flushdraw.
kaplan: "shawn shouldve bet much more, todd has no choice but to call for this price"; kinda along these lines
