Re: 25nl, TP + FD odd turn spot (150bb deep)

[ QUOTE ]

Are you betting for value?

Villain looks fairly loose. IME, these players don't like just folding on the flop to a raise espec after they have raised preflop and bet flop. If u...

Re: 25nl, TP + FD odd turn spot (150bb deep)

You have put yourself in a really good situation here. Whatever you do will not be too terrible. I would bet 5 or 7 most times and check lots of times too depending on how you think he plays. ...

Re: 50NL - Trip A\'s on the river, but do I fold?

Tough spot. Not being results oriented I would check behind this turn lots of times. If villain hits a smaller flush on the river you could get his stack. With most one pair hands we don't want to...

Re: 50NL, AA, @#$% river, what do I Dooooo?

flop: bet AT LEAST pot size. there is nothing wrong with betting 1.5 the pot size espec on dangerous flops like these

turn: shove

river: call as played

[ QUOTE ]
I definitely call... you see AT and [censored] like that a lot, looks like it could be a weak blocker bet

[/ QUOTE ]

no. this is not a blocking bet. villain is all in.

bet more on flops like these. the 2/3 sized bets are not enough. you could well bet 9 or 10 then shove turn if you feel like you are ahead.

Re: 10/20 deepish top 2 in 3bet pot

Consistently folding flopped two pair hands for the fear of flopped sets will lose you big $$. You are destined to get stacked in spots like this playing this deep if beaten.

push or fold vs. this lag? (1010 .25/.50 UB)

Villain is passive preflop but very aggro postflop. He seems like the type of villain who likes to bet pot on flop then again on turn no matter what happens on flop if he thinks he's still good.

Re: What do you consider a good poker player?

The definition of how 'good' a player is relates to how much money you have to put in before you realize you're beat (obv if ever).

Re: What\'s Your Play UTG?

assuming full table
AQ raise to 200 and call push
99-TT same
QQ sometimes limp JJ mostly raise to 200 and call push
you have to gamble soon enough, these look good enough to me

Re: SSHE is king but does anyone use guidelines from HPFAP more?

if this pot was 220 i would be willing to let it get to at
least 440 before giving him credit for quads

Re: Site Differences

You can get some quality games at sites that have little or no publicity. They have run the same commercial for like the last 3 years which is why no one respects them. I thought UB had some great...

Re: 2/4 B&M - TPTK, bet bet bet?

[ QUOTE ]
However, if you get reraised on this fairly passive table you have to consider a fold.

[/ QUOTE ]
The only way i might be folding is if it's to back to me on the turn.

I would have raised the flop and you have to call the river.

Re: Calling a raise with AQs and miss the flop

Hero's M is 12 preflop. It would only go to about 11 after this hand (assuming you call pf, miss, and check fold).

I would make the decision based on the time until the next blind levels. If...

Re: river raise to drive away overcalls

I would just call the river unless you think you can make him fold 2 pair which is quite possible. I suppose that would take more than one hand to determine.

Re: 99, lets work thru it slowly?

but only because I think I might have too hard of a time playing the hand against at least 3 players when an overcard hits even in position

Re: What\'s the best way to earn $2,000 in 127 days?

Re: JJ and QQ blindfolded and out of position vs. tag 3 bet...

I don't totally hate situations like this because there's a solid chance we're good a large enough percentage of the time.

Would you ever fear this (bd) flush?

Thank you to everyone who replied to the last hand. This seems standard. What do you think?

Villain is 56/5.5 over 40 hands so no quality reads unfortunately.

a 1010 hand I had trouble with

Villain is 31/8 and 1.
I have seen him raise A5s UTG, wait until the turn to raise a pf raiser with A10o on AQ7 all diamonds without a diamond, and make other generally foolish plays.

Should I...
