Re: Stars 1/2 - AK 2 bets cold on turn

Weak draw here, with 2-3 outs depending of if the other opponent has KQ. I think two pairs is more likely though. In that case you would have 3 more outs. So maximum 5.5 outs. If both of the players...

Re: sudden river aggression

Without reads I would raise. Checking the turn just does not make any sense with a set. On the other hand, if this was a tricky player with very creative moves, I might consider just calling....

Re: Full Ring advice

Your losses at 0.02/0.04 could be just variance. Although I think you might face other challenges as well. Could it be you are playing your AKo and hand similar hands too aggressively post-flop,...

Re: November Session Review Signup Thread

I would like to sign up. Lately I've been studying 0.25/.50 6max. And shots in 0.50/1 6max.

Re: Super big pot with KK and a ragged flop

I would raise the flop, for value. If villain reraises the flop and bets the turn, I would call down.

If villain checks the turn after hero calling flop 3-bet, would check behind, and bet after...

Re: Can raising preflop be bad even with aces?

If you don't raise there is a bigger chance someone will flop a set or two pairs. You might just get lucky and someone folds and puts dead money to the pot. Then again, since you are a huge favourite...

Re: Sit-n-gp, big hand, expecting multiple callers-go all in?

Just expanding my horizons:) I often play two tables so that one is SNG and one MTT. For many MTTs you need to wait a while to get into the table (e.g. 50 ppl registering) - good time for speed SNG!

Re: Playing monotone board in .25/.50 against loose villains

Thanks! Good point about not getting fancy with small pots.

petsa,

It is much more likely for more people to FOLD if you open push, rather than a re-raising war. With nothing invested, ppl will throw their hands away, and you will get 1, maybe...

Did you type this by hand or something? I don't see how on earth the pot is 7.40 SB on the flop unless it was raised, in which case fold preflop.

Anyway I hate your flop raise, classic...

Re: Do i play this hand bad? what could have i done different?

Opinions from noob.
FLOP: Looks ok. I'm not sure top pair is three-bet worthy because villain showed that either there is goods or there is a big bluff. Goods more likely (two pairs).
TURN: Ok. I...

Playing monotone board in .25/.50 against loose villains

Re: Calling with Paint in the blinds - criteria?

I think blind stealing occurs with quite a big range. So it is not a given that the aggressor has a better kicker if the flop has an ace. It helps if you have some reads on your opponent. If they are...

Re: Sit-n-gp, big hand, expecting multiple callers-go all in?

Aces are not the biggest threat. It is more common that someone gets trips, two pairs, straight or flush, when having a multiway all in.
