Re: need a plan vs a 2+2er

Neat hand.

I like check calling the flop some percentage of the time, but I probably would bet fold the flop the majority of the time.

I think this potsize makes playing turn kind of awkward. ...

Re: 200NL - flush facing weird action when board pairs

shpanko, what hand that check minraises the turn are you expecting to get value from? As5x, any random 5, maybe AsJx or 64ss although I'd think these would be less likely?

Re: AK versus 70/1 Fish: 100NL

I agree w/ ofishstix. You'll see sets and two pairs here sometimes, but you're gonna run into a bunch of worse As as well. I shove and go reload.

200NL - flush facing weird action when board pairs

First orbit at the table and villain is unknown. I've seen him limp a previous hand so I was assuming hes generally passive.

Re: ZOMG!! IS HE TARPING ME??

No play confuses me more than a river checkraise. Good players are betting their hands, but bad players will slow play. I dont know this player, maybe he is a decent 40/38, but if hes a bad player...

Re: 200NL - TPWK OOP facing raise

I guess I should point out that the SB is a big fish (63/3). I was raising in order to get into pots with him. I wasnt worried about him in this hand at all.

EDIT: I must have cut off part of...

Re: AA OOP On Drawy Flop 1/2 NL

I'd shove the flop and reload.

The turn spot is just gross. I think I'd just check and fold to a shove. Your plan was to look for a blank turn, it was anything but so just pitch it and move on....

Re: NL100: Does anyone like my bluff?

[ QUOTE ]
I'll just outplay him postflop :-)

[/ QUOTE ]

Outplaying villains like this does not involve bluffing. Especially in pots where they actually show aggression.

Re: Playing against LAGs - is it worth it?

This sounds like a ripe table and you have a great seat, imo. Guys with stats like these are usually pretty easy to play postflop. If you can adjust your cbetting appropiately and control the pot...

Re: 200 NL - Interesting Hands

1) I snapcall this. If he has a set then oh well, but I expect to see a fair number of busted draws here too. I dont get why you would fold this on the turn or river. Its SBvBB against what I...

Re: AM I really so bad at poker?

If I am going to bet the turn in hand 1 then I am calling that river. That said, with the flush hitting I would check to a guy with those stats.

Hand 2 I'd check behind. I mean, if you know hes...

Re: 200NL Strange spot IP, hero makes tough call?

As played I fold the river. I would have 3bet the flop and tried to get the money in though.

Re: Huge overbet on river, I have a flush, WTF?

I think you gotta fold. From the first hand he looks like a thinking player and you've already shown you're willing to get it in with less than the nuts--looks like a value raise.

Re: How Do I Avoid This Mess?

Unless these guys never fold on the flop then you gotta throw out a bet and get it in on the turn. As played I think you have to call, but I dont like it at all. With as passive as villain...
