Re: Playing Higher Stakes Than Usual Live

in my experience most people just say bet pot, then the dealer (if good) already has counted the pot, and tells you how much. Not slow, but slower than NL. People thinking about their action was the...

Re: is hud compatible with macs?

i'd be extremely surprised if boot camp didn't work in exactly the same way as windows on another intel computer. bootcamp's really a boot loader + hardware drivers.

Re: Playing Higher Stakes Than Usual Live

Thanks jtr.

Aspers in Newcastle. Just got back, i played about 4-5 hands in 4 hours and cashed out for ~90 bb. play was strange, reasonably solid except no-one seemed able to fold unhit AK etc,...

Playing Higher Stakes Than Usual Live

I'm heading over to the casino tonight with a group of friends. The lowest limit they offer is $2/$4 a step up from my usual $25NL online. Also it's pot limit.

Does anyone have any advice for...

Best way to withdraw to a UK bank acocunt from FT?

Re: AQ in RR pot

I think a call here preflop is horrible. You're at the bottom of his range here, remember his 12% pfr is probably much smaller than 12% because he's utg rather than in later position.

I'm not too...

Anyway, if you're sitting in a restraddling game and you're only going in with 25-12 BB (and you obviously aren't comfortable with being short-stacked), then you are setting yourself up...

Apologies if I gave you the wrong impression. Perhaps I shouldn't have called them donkey straddles. In this game, and I mean this specific game, it is the players who consistantly lose who are...

Re: Donkey Straddles

Not an awful lot of poker advice been given here so far.

I personally don't like the straddles as it makes it very expensive to see the flop, and seems to turn the game into a shorter stacked...

Re: AA (SB) - Move in at flop?

60c preflop is the accepted norm (4xbb +1 per limper).

I fold this without worrying too much. You really have to reevaluate a one pair hand multiway with this much action. I'm sure you'll see at...

Re: Good book for playing micro stakes no limit.

phil gordons little green book is decent for a new - intermediate player. small stakes holdem by miller et al is a limit book, but is still very useful for no limit.
