Re: MORE POLLS

I agree with Miles and his posts, and I think too that 3betting is very bad.

It's even worse if we look at his river AF < 1. I mean, I highly doubt that this opponent can make thin river value...

Re: 99 BB raise or call preflop?

I don't think calling is a bad option at all. If you call, you can raise the SB continuation bet if the board is OK, and make the limpers fold 6outers. Because of that, calling preflop is much better...

You used pokerstars concierge service??

People who got pokerstars concierge services with 186000FPP, give some feedback.

What kind of things you can ask for? Pokerstars attended you well? Are you going to repeat?

Thanks!

Poker Essays: Volumes 1 2 and 3. Worth it?

I need to choose 3 books from the B column of the 2+2 bonus program. Not sure yet of which books. I mostly play middle stakes limit holdem, but I'm going to learn other poker games in the next...

Re: Villain limp, 4-bets preflop. What the hell do I do?

kross: the limp-cap was made by a player with no reads on. The LAG is the button, not the limp-capper.

But i think even a LAG have AA or KK a good portion of the time that he limp-caps!

Re: Villain limp, 4-bets preflop. What the hell do I do?

I think 75% of the time is KK or AA, and 25% is AK or a small pocket pair or random crap.

Versus that range don't bet the flop, check and call all the way.

Re: man....if i knew ..dam pokerstars fpp book

That makes no sense. So if they allow 100 tables books are going to cost 10000 points?

I think the reason is probably that before the books were too cheap perhaps. Mathematics of poker for 1000FPP...

Re: Massive Hero fold

don't fold! It's a 26BB pot and you have a very good hand. You don't think you are good here 4% of the time?

edit: well, obviously you don't think so, but... don't you think you can be wrong 4% of...

Re: What to do with river\'d trips?

Opponents with 50 VPIP are bad, so you want to play decent hands against them, not fold.

But if you 3bet, playing ATo out of position versus at least 2 opponents in a big pot is not great...

Re: 99 in a not very pleasant spot.

Every villain is going to bet the turn, so no reason to peel the flop.

Basically you are hoping he has AQ 77 or 66. And AQ has 10 outs against you, so you have to checkfold flop.

Re: Difficult river decision

I don't think it's a bad fold at all. The pot is small.

Re: 3-handed A3s

I think folding the flop is weak. If villains range is 60% of hands, we have 40% equity in this board. The decision is between calling and raising.

Re: river decision with ace high

We bet the turn because most of the time we have the best hand and we don't want to give free cards to 6-outers.

Re: 88 vs 2 maniacs, turn/river decisions

I think you played it ok. One thing is sure: never fold versus maniacs!

edit: he will bet when you check to him, but he will usually bluffraise too, so the lines aren't much different

Re: Ok turn check?

You have to bet. You usually have the best hand, and if he folds a 4 or 5 out hand in a 7BB pot it's ok, it's not a disaster.

I value bet river too against most people...

Re: Weird river raise. No what

I don't like the flop peel! Fold or checkraise are better options, in my opinion. If you checkraise, usually a decent player doesn't call down with a-high, even if he suspects we can be bluffing some...

Re: facing raise on super scare turn vs LAG

I'm not saying call or fold the turn... but I think if you decide to call the turn, you HAVE to call the river for sure, versus a 70/35.

That said, even a 70/35 usually have something nice when he...

Re: Hand by TheHip41

I like it versus a TAG who is trying to play well (and it's not a showdown monkey)

But I'm usually 3-betting that flop.

Re: Big draw/wierd turn spot

I checkcall for sure, I think a bad player who checks behind in that flop have a-high a high percentage of the time.

Re: $3/$6 6max

As played in the flop, I think I prefer to bet-3bet the turn to avoid a freecard, and perhaps he is raising the turn with top pair.

Re: What is your line and why?

preflop is supereasy cap! As played I think I get to the showdown as cheaply as possible, I don't think he's folding a better hand if you raise, but if you keep calling perhaps he is bluffing worse...

Re: bluff opportunity on a very dry board

I like betting if the "Flop-Turn %" stat from UTG is not very high. I don't want to try to bluff a villain that peels too light.
