Re: Is this a spewy push with rivered set? 100NL

[ QUOTE ]
Anything but shoving on this river is just bad IMO.

[/ QUOTE ]
Yah. I mean, sure, he has JT once in a while, but he also has all sorts of crap here, too. The question is if he calls...

Re: Overbetting: When to use it?

[ QUOTE ]
A good example imo. His range is pretty much mid PPs, straight draws and Kx. I doubt he calls any river bet anyway with a PP given the board and he obviously is folding busted straight...

Re: 50NL: AQs in the small blind vs active stealer

Ick. I think you fold. Best situation is AJ, but I don't think that's very likely, so the best realistic situation is a coin flip, with a good chance that you're crushed.

I would keep 3betting...

Re: NL 100 - Is this spew? Straight draw gets min-raise by nit

Is that AF right? Lordy ...

No, I think you did it right. He has a set more often than he has QT or T7, and you have solid outs against a set. On the flop, you're getting over 4:1, on the turn,...

Re: NL$200| Do I let drunkenboxer off the hook?

In some ways this relates to Renton's recent post about disguising hands with similar lines. If you shove, you are playing with your cards face up, which is never a good thing. If you call, you are...

Re: NL200: flop top 2 in raised pot

They each have less than $100 left. Shove, and fade the outs.

Re: Overbetting: When to use it?

I think people have pretty much covered the entire spectrum, so basically it's never good to overbet the pot apparently.

Re: Flop nut straight, possible flush on river 100NL

Call. You only have to be right 35% of the time, and I think that this is a worse hand (JJ, AK, even a slow played KK) often enought for it to be worthwhile. So, click reload just in case, but call...

Re: QQ deepstacked, what am I doing on the turn?

I see TT, JJ here a lot, also suited aces down to AT. Sure, you'll be up against a higher pair sometimes, a set sometimes, and you'll be dodging diamonds sometimes, but my bet is you're ahead more...

Re: 200NL: KK flop decision

Re: NL25 KK prefl. shove

I like this given specific reads, but absent that, I think a raise to $5 or $6 is great. You _want_ to see a flop here, and you _want_ to play poker.

I think that he has to call more often than he...

Re: 50NL: Pot control line check with TPGK

Re: NL100: AT makes TP OOP and gets raised on the flop

Fold. AF that low, he has something, and if he doesn't, fine, you ran into the 1 bluff he'll run this week.

Re: Aaargghh - AA on the button and some idiot just shoved on the turn

I don't really think this is a "reasonable" range, but it does beat us. You're getting 1.8:1 on the call, so you need about 36% equity, and you only have 20% against this range:

Board: 3c 5s 2c Tc...

Re: Gazeebo hand (warning, made hand!); 50NL

This is a straight math question, right?

Say he calls a raise to $6 70% of the time, and calls the all in 20% of the time. Say in both cases you lose 1% of the time and chop 5% of the time.

Rare to see two posts--Shannon and TX Red's--that calm and cogent in one thread. As the cliche goes, would read again.

Re: 50NL: KK on monotone board.

I think you saw too many monsters. If you're going to c/c the flop, rep the ace. If you bet the flop and get called, you can probably safely c/f the turn, since the Ad becomes pretty likely. If you...
