2 hands from $500 live tourney

Seeking views on a couple of key decisions from a recent tourney. Played 9 handed with 5000 starting chips and a 45 minute clock. 80 runner field is made up of mainly average to good recreational...

Re: Flopped trips in multi-way pot...OR...Nit succumbs to FPS???

Limping pre flop is not a terrible play. Do'nt like the check on the flop you have a strong but not unbeatable hand and need to protect it. Once the 9c comes up you you have a problem do you have the...

Re: LIVE: 6-10s in BB

There is nothing I like about your play. Calling with a weak hand out of position is always going to give you tough decision on the flop even if as in this case you hit your hand. Moving all-in...

Re: $11 180, should I give a free card here?

It looks like a pretty safe flop there is a straight draw but for your opponnet to have that they would have had to min raise UTG with A2 or 56 is this likely ? That said I would never give a player...

Re: 180 man 4+.40 on stars.....final 4

3 handed with less than 10 bb you have one move that is all-in. Having not done that you should have jammed it all-in on the flop you are not betting to fold in this position not if you want to win...

Re: Party - 94 of 351 remain, std push or bad play ?

Yep - you are either a big dog or a small favourite but with 6000 in the pot and 1400 to call you are priced in, however it would be a fold if your opponnent could make a pot sized or bigger reraise

Re: What\'s the right move here?

I do'nt like the call preflop with KT because this is the position you end up with post flop. 60% of your stack is at at stake and you could be drawing completely dead. UTG is marked as a big pair...

Re: live hand, trying to steal blinds

The problem with the play is the depth of the stacks i.e. nobody can make a raise without getting a large slice of their stack into the pot and therefore you will get called with hands which are...

Re: ftops event #3. how bad is this resteal?

It is'nt bad at all if it worked you increase your stack by about 20% he could have a pretty wide range of hands many of which he will drop to a reraise. The fact you are within 100 of the money is...

Re: QQ vs. 2 pushes

From the BB point of view an UTG raise has been reraised for vitually all of my chips I have 150 invested, the list of hands I call with is very short and 2 of them have you beat. You are not short...

Re: $600 PLO Balls Deep

You could be getting your money drawing very thin, and how do you feel about calling a pot sized bet on the river if you hit your flush? No I think a fold, I have called players down in similar...

Re: KQs in NL tourney preflop?

Hate it. KQ is a nothing hand. You cannot stand a reraise In a raised pot it needs help on the flop and the majority of time it will miss. Even if you hit you could be dominated by AQ or AK. I would...

Re: Top Pair with second best kicker, how do i play?

He made a couple of basic errors.

1 Limping in early position with KJ it really cannot stand any heat pre flop and post flop even if you hit your hand as in this case you can never be sure it is...

Re: 89s Tourney Hand--please advise

At this point you have'nt got enougth chips to call. When you bet you need to move-in and apply maximum pressure to the pot. If it is a tight passive a big grandstand move with 89 will work but it is...

Re: TPGK, slow played and raised allin

Given the action if I had to stake my life on your opponnent having one particular hand I would go with pocket tens. Give it up.

Re: 135 left - who\'s your horse?

Gryko he has the game and the self belief (some might say arrogance) to do it. With 135 to go still could be anyones tournament. Of the name players maybe Cunningham is the one to watch.

Re: Limper pwnage in a 4/180

Dumb, hate the play, a 1200 bet gets the job and you can still put the hand down if reraised. The other factor is that the big bet actually looks weaker and might get called by a big stack although...

Re: 20/180s Bullying Check-Up

I think the bet on the flop is a mistake in this instance as it tells him you probably have'nt got a flush.

Re: Three hands from 20$ 180
