Re: .25-.50 Full Tilt 6max

it's not a great way to play the hand. on the flop, you are giving free cards to gutshots and 5outers and you don't gain much. the rest is fine, with the river being close imo because you now win vs...

Re: bet this river !?

See I just don't know what you guys are up against. Every time I see a 45/20ish guy preflop I assume his went to SD is like 55 which I see all the time. Hell I'm ~42% and all the fish go...

Re: i\'m a huge calling station

just for kicks, bb won the hand with KJo, button had KTo.

btw, i think it's good to sometimes post what the villain(s) had after people discuss the hand, provided that:

1. there's no selection...

Re: weird donk

thehip, in this example i'd be much more likely to just call than in the original hand because i think there's a higher chance for 2pair+.

i\'m a huge calling station

i have some 40 hands on the villains but they are meaningless because the game was 3 and 4 handed for while. so for example 60/30 doesn't necessarily mean the villain is a maniac. from the stats and...

Raise for value against mid pp, 5x, A/K high. I wouldnt always do it, but a "loose and stupid" player seems like the perfect victim for a value raise here.

Re: I made a pair

i like a b/c here because he's more likely to have a pair of Q's, T's, or QT than 6x. if you check he'll likely check behind with a pair, but if you bet he usually won't be able to fold. i think you...

Re: weird donk

i would guess if nina said he is 50/10/0.9 over 38 hands that wouldn't change anybody's answer in this thread. if so, let's just assume these stats from now on.

Re: weird donk

sweetjazz,

i understand that you want to discount all the 5x and pp hands because you don't know his tendencies and that's fine. but then you should discount any hand with a 4 for the exact same...

to those who say don't fold. if he 3-bets you, how often do you think you have him beat?

I think all of the hands in vma's range are possible but I also think he has 43 like 20 times for each time he has KQ.

If you are not prepared to fold to a 3-bet I honestly cant see how...

Re: weird donk

he could easily play 33-TT this way, with TT being somewhat less likely. basically, i more or less agree with vma's range, excluding JJ-QQ and adding a bunch of 5x hands like 65s, 75s.

I end up calling here for the reasons Miles mentioned. If the board wasnt double paired I'd raise.

When I raise I fold to a 3-bet without worrying about it. I use to call and win like...

Re: weird donk

hmm, you think instaraising doesn't change the probability that he will attempt a 3bet bluff? that's not a rhetorical question, i really want to know.

Re: weird donk

if i instaraise and he still 3bets, no, i don't think it's close.

if i take my sweet time to raise and he 3bets, i start scratching my head.

what do others think?

i always bet this. the only case when i wouldn't bet is if i was 90%+ certain the button would bet, but clearly that's not the case here. you need to charge their sets and two-pairs with your second...

Do any of the river raisers advocate calling a 3bet? For those that don't advocate calling the 3-bet, how often do you actually fold to 3bets in such spots at the table?

So even if you do a proper discounting of the worse hands you should def raise here.

At the table I would raise lightning quick; I'm pretty surprised you all don't--maybe I'm...

ok, i realize most people like a call here, so i feel like a donk, but i still think this is a raise/fold to 3bet. i think his line is most consistent with a pair of 5's or pp that knows you will...

i don't mind the raise pf. even these guys fold complete junk pf or on the flop. i think i mix between raising and completing, just to see how he plays in different situations.

Re: 3 barrel and pray - the AQ unimproved story, by efficacy

i think betting the turn against 2 opponents is a mistake here when draws completed. you can just take a free card with your outs.

as played, betting the river is probably close since he might be...

BTW RZK, the reason river bluff raises like this are so effective is because people dont play optimally.

The key idea is this: A solid TAG vs a solid tag, is never re-raise bluffing...
