Re: 30/60 turn spot

Take the free turn card. Never 3-bet here. If you are in the habit of three betting flush draws against what damn sure looks like a straight on the turn, you are hemorrhaging money.

Re: 10/20 AKo at the Borg

You say he's aggro, but you also say your flop read is TPGK or top two. If you really think he has that, I don't know what the raise is about. If he has QJ, AQ, KQ, and he's playing aggressively,...

Re: Big Pot vs. Unkown Quantity

I'm not really in disagreement about the error of letting the hand go in a big pot after the turn, esp. against an unknown. Granted the pot is laying me huge odds, but I really couldn't put him on...

Big Pot vs. Unkown Quantity

I was visiting my brother in MT, and found a juicy little 2-6 dealers choice game. Usually jumped to 2-12 or NL overs at night and was a good time. I had been playing in it for a few weeks and had...

Re: Brantford 20/40 - ATo

First, we've established it already, but the pf call is horrible.

Second, I don't know why the merits of a river call are being debating. Joker is right. The call is instant. If he has you...

Re: The Worst Strategy You\'ve Overheard at a Table

I play a spread limit dealers choice game (mostly O8) with this old guy, Al. Al's like 88 and completely senile. He honestly spends half the game asleep and mumbling about what happened in the 30s,...

Re: did i screw up on every street?

The pf no-raise has gotten so much attention we haven't even gotten to the amusing flop play. JJ + 468 rainbow = something fishy every time. I'm so scared of the 468 flop I auto fold on principal. ...

Re: PL: Turned nut flush faces board pair on river

Looking at the texture of the board and given the limits you are playing (i.e. the assumed skill level of your opponents) I really don't think you're in that bad of shape. KK, JJ, and 88 have to...

Re: How many raises?

I think the 5-bet, call 6 on the river is more than obvious here. With no re-raise from him pf, it's hard to put him on KK. It seems like K7,K8 even suited are a little out of his range, and would...

Re: Flop bet

With five players left to act behind, and only a gutshot and a backdoor flush draw, with the potential of drawing dead/nearly dead, I don't see what the bet gains. Maybe a couple of positions later,...

Re: 4 PF Decisions

Thanks for the discussion. I'll elaborate a little more now on how I feel about the hands, but I didn't want my reads/feel dictate the original discussion.

1 - I feel I should have pushed here. ...

4 PF Decisions

I apologize for the lack of formatting on these, but they were played live, with mostly unknowns, and they are only pf decisions. I feel I played some of these correctly, some of these incorrectly,...

Re: ugly 2 pair

[ QUOTE ]
Limp with AK\Q seems pretty unreasonable , and A9 A8 seems too loose to me

I don't think you can put her on many hands you can beat here, save the potential flush &...

Re: can AA get outdrawn again?

1 - This is a limit forum, I'm still confused as to why you're posting a no limit hand

2 - That said, you didn't give anyone enough information to help give advice. How much did he bet on the...

Re: 20/40 live, JJ UTG

I think there are a number of reasons why the call-call-call strategy is not at all a good choice.

1. This allows your opponents to pick up 2.5 bb if they have a rag queen and think your hanging...

Re: Turning Stone Questions

Thanks for the information. And, just a clarification concerning the first reply, were you saying the 15/30 game in specific is relatively soft or just the games in general?

These will be my last words on the topic, but you're still not taking into account many issues.

set vs. two pair - Concerning his possible range of hands, you have not addressed the fact that you...

Re: 1/2 facing 2 opponents with overcards

Not to nitpick, but I think discussion of the first hand has met with some flawed analysis. The specifics follow:

-he flopped a set - given the way he played the hand, i feel the chance of this...

Re: 1/2 facing 2 opponents with overcards

I don't know about your hand converter issue, but as far as the hand stated goes, you must remember pot odds and implied odds are two different things, and this is not really a matter of implied...
