He didn't have any reads on villain. No way to see that coming. Also, if he isn't going to call, why would he want villain all in?

Re: Flop Top Set, Puke Turn

I'm weak so I fold. I think he has the nut flush way too often to make calling profitable even though we have outs, the pot hardly justifies the 3.4 - 1 dog we are against a made flush.

Those...

Re: NL200 Top Top Ugly board vs shortish stack

I'd push the turn because I think there are some opponents that'll have hands like KQ, QJ, JT and will call hoping that you are either bluffing or that they hit one of their 6 river outs.

Those...

Re: Set gets 3bet on turn in limped pot

[ QUOTE ]
I don't know where you got $314, he started the hand with $254 so that is the most you can make from him.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've put $56 in the pot and the other limpers put $5 in.

Re: faking a bet/fold, but actually bet/call with a marginal bluff cat

I just reread Sklanksy's NL book yesterday and he says many times:

"Big pots and big bets are for big hands"

You hardly have a big hand. While it's good to mix up your play, it seems that...

Re: Stars NL 200 tough turn decision

If you call his raise, he still has $78 more to bet. It will go in if he's ahead. He might check behind on the river if he's behind.

If he's ahead with a flush or KJ - you are drawing dead.

If...

Re: Flop a straight vs someone playing back at me. Worst turn and rive

How did you flop the nuts? (76 is the nuts).

I'd check behind on the turn and call anything less than $30 on the river and fold for anything more than that.

Re: 99 overpair raised by losing reg.

It's a tough hand to play because there will be so many scary cards on the turn and an all-in will likely only be called by a hand that beats you.

I'd call and look at the turn card and see how...

Re: nl 200 - 93o trips

I'd bet more on the flop given that there are a lot of draws (flush draw, straight draws).

Flop bets should be bigger to deny huge implied odds - so I'd overbet the pot with $8.

Other than that...
