Re: River Decision

I think you check the river. My experience is that if you bet here he is only calling if he has you beat. Way behind or slightly ahead.

Make a note on what he had and wait for a better...

Re: On Studying...

I like to go over hand histories. Not just the ones I was in, but also any hand with a big pot. I want to see if there are certain situations that occure more often with big pots that I can either...

Re: NLTAP week #3

I've found that the c-bet is a great weapon. You've shown strength pre-flop and are continuing to show strength post-flop. There is no reason to give your oppenent an opportunity to see a free card...

Re: Bad Call?

Fold the river.

Push or fold the flop. MP2 re-raised you here and is the pre-flop raiser, I doubt they hit, but that is a small bet to try to steal the pot. Button re-raises here??? But agian...

Re: Uhhh...what do I do with TPTK here?

With only $24 behind I think you have to fold. If the stacks were bigger, then I think it might be different.

Re: A move against LAG

My two cents...

First re-raise pre-flop...this gives you a better idea of where you stand and gives them an opportunity to fold.

Second, I think the all-in is 50/50 here, but since you say the...

Re: NL 25: running bad or just bad? 2 big pair hands

My 2 cents here, says you should be betting the Turn. I'm thinking about 1/2 the pot both times.

I think the Turn check shows weakness and unless you hit hard on the Flop or the Turn I believe...

Matrix,

Just a question to help me clear up my thinking on EV?

You use PokerStove and I do to, but my question is this. When you say you put the villian on a range and you enter this range...

Re: TPTK getting tested again

Read NL T&P. Then re-read it. Then loosen up pre-flop.
Not like a cheap whore, but consider your position and play more suited connectors, 1 gaps, 2 gaps, pocket pairs, Axs, Kxs.

Start pre flop...

Re: Pitbull Poker Ghost Town?

Re: AA -Kind of a sticky spot...

I vote for a push here.

Your pfr looks like a steal attempt possibly. Depending on your image and his awareness.

If you call he gets to draw for free. If you raise you risk him re-raising,...

Re: Misplayed hand or misread opponent?

With his short stack size I think you have to put him all in on the flop.

Personally I bet enough so that if he calls he has .01 left. I do this to be a di@k. It is very memorable for people. ...

I only have about a $100 BR at...

Re: Does the play of this draw bring you joy?

IMO, It seems aggressive, do you have a real on the SB as being really loose or a chaser?

Are you hoping for a call here?

Just seems overly aggressive to me. I don't like this move unless you...
