Re: c/r bluff -- LO8

Given i am a regular in this game. I would tend to fold this hand. Even if people are calling bad with horrible hands, the edge comes into better hand selection. Instead of running complicated...

Re: % winning players vs % losing players

The fact is people assume they are winning players based on too small a sample size. 1 year of results playing 10 hours a week isnt enough. Most people play poker because they believe they are...

Re: LO8 - mixed games

By capping preflop - you are declaring your strength. i like smooth calling with your hand pre-flop since it allows ultimate positional flexibility. It also allows you availability to bluff later on....

Re: LO8 - mixed games

I think the UTG player could be the next coming of Stu Ungar. but that's just what i can tell from this hand history.

Re: Flop Decision - Omaha H/L

Sorry all - was out yesterday. The game originally was one where any raise pre-flop was called by these blinds. But after a successful couple of hours, (and my folds on the button), they began to...

Re: Flop Decision - Omaha H/L

Interesting. I don't know about raising here. SB will likely reraise and your extra money is lost if BB folds. And it looks like SB has a hand since he knows i raised and is leading with some sort...

Re: Flop Decision - Omaha H/L

I think we just have a gutshot unless i posted something incorrectly. I am actually curious for Buzz's calculations. Hand 2 was the actualy hand played. I figured the SB lead with a decent high...

Re: bottom set in the bb

You have am underfull which is extremely vulnerable to any A2 or 2-3-4-J hand. If opponent plays 3 boradways you are raising to chop the pot. No value.

Re: Flop Decision - Omaha H/L

I understand why it looks at first blush to be an auto-call. But....I don't believe in auto-anything.

ow many hearts that hit really win you anything more than half the pot? You have 3 of the...

Re: TPMK spot OOP in tilt 150

This is a different situation than raising from the button versus a blind defense so I think that scenario is useful info, but tough to apply. The board is pretty innocuous so he either has air or...

Re: KK... 5 way action... 40 at the Borg

If you guys need a bet to see "where you are at" then move down in limits. Crappy flop. time to fold. This is one of those situations, where the probability you are beaten far outweighs the risk...

I know he isnt me. But if I decide I am ahead on the turn and in position but not 100%, i am going to call the river as well. An Ace or King are probably the only cards I fold to on the river. ...

He is a Laggy pro who knows your range and can have AQ, AJ and A-10 in this spot. A-9 doesnt check. These are the only hands which he would play this way in addition to AK. I don't mind a bet...
