Re: Deep KK faces massive overbet flop push...

[ QUOTE ]

Rofl I knew this was going to come up at some point. Totally different its almost laughable you compare the two and iirc there was like $300k stacks in that hand (500bb).

Re: Deep KK faces massive overbet flop push...

Phil Ivey didn't seem to think this is such an easy decision (HSP season 3, was it?). He did fold, though. Of course, he didn't view his villain as a donkey, but why should we?

Re: Am i overplaying these semi-big hands?

Hand 1: def. yes. I'd just call the flop after the preflop 3-bettor leads into two: he hardly calls a raise with worse. And there's another player yet to act.

Hand 2: otherwise fine, river meh. I...

Re: AA opens and gets soooooo much action pre flop. Shall we shove???

[ QUOTE ]

So here I had a decision, and decided to flat call, as he only is ahead 1 in 10 times on the flop, and with his 20BBs raise he does not get his proper odds.

Re: My mind asplode

So did he get the seat or not? If it was hand-for-hand and there were other people all-in, one of these people presumably started the hand with a smaller stack than his.

Re: Statistical significance test for missing sets?

[ QUOTE ]
The probability of getting s or fewer sets is exactly what you want (anyway there isn't much more to infer from it than that you've been unlucky in terms of flopping sets). Any statistical...

Statistical significance test for missing sets?

For my sanity, please help me quantify how bad I'm running.

Variables:

n : number of samples of pocket pairs seeing a flop
s : number of times a set or better is flopped

Constants:
p :...

Re: 100NL: Flopped nut flush against river push

Just a thought: we can avoid this difficult spot by betting more on the turn. Now we're giving implied odds for a set to hang around if we'll always stack off on the river. Then again, two pair...

Ok. I wasn't second guessing anything but the bet-sizing, and I gather it was ok, maybe a touch more on turn.

I've been thinking the turn a lot, but I'll make this street by street to get your input on bet-sizing the flop. I'll fast forward preflop...
