Re: NL10 flushdraw+ weak onepair w/ 4-to-straight on board, oop

This is a perfect spot to misrepresent your hand.

At NL10, you're more likely to get paid off on the river when you hit your flush. But...you want to get to the river as cheaply as possible.

Re: Pocket J\'s on AA board

Ugh, this line is horrible. It looks like NL10.

Flop: Either call or raise to ~20. Min-betting here is too transparent.

Note: You don't want to build a pot here. SB indicates some strength,...

Re: 1/2 AJ vs pattay river decison

I like a call. I'm leery of the stop n go on the river. Take it easy there.

If you shove, worse hand folds, better hand calls. Save yourself some $$ and just call.

Re: NL 100: A9s raise in MP

I hate an all-in here and here's why:

A) you give yourself 2:1 odds to go to the river on an all in where your equity is like, what 25%-28%?
B) After a raise like that, villain doesn't fold.

I...

Re: NL 25: Bad turn line w/ AA, K-high board?

I rikey!

More often than not you're probably ahead. Go ahead and get it in here. You'd be surprised how often this is K9+ or something like that.

Re: 25NL: AA in SB vs. frisky UTG villain

Um, eh, push, but I really, really think you ran into trips.
But also AKdd or AQ or something like that.
But given his re-raise, more often than not you do says "I have Aces" and he does says "I...

Re: NL25 - QQ in MP1, think I should have slowed down on turn

Nope. All in all, I think you played it fine.
(25 hand is only 2.5 orbits...so don't trust that read)

Re: 25NL: TPTK Vs sudden aggression

You've only invested 1.50 in this hand.
Give this one up. Obviously the villain wants it more than you cuz he's offering you 1/13 odds.

Take a deep breath, and fold.

Re: NL25: AKs vs pf aggresion

[ QUOTE ]
Isn't it push or fold pre-flop

[/ QUOTE ]

Yup! Once you've got 1/3 of your stack in PF what are you pushing on the flop that hasn't got you beat already?

Re: 20k guarentee pick up three more outs on turn

Fold pre.
Here, 2 options: push or fold.
I say fold, cause at this point there's no way villain folds to your push.
Also, all of your outs might not even be clean.

Re: $5-45 on FTP. A few hands

1) You're betting 1/4 of your stack and 1/2 the pot on a c-bet. It's a little spewy for me, that's kinda risky since if there's any chance villain hit the flop he rr's you ai.

2) 3 questions -...

Re: NL50: QQ turned set in drawy board

I wouldn't be surprised if you ran into Kxc here.
If he's pushing, what's he protecting against?

Easy fold.

Re: NL50: Flopped set facing raise on the turn.

Insta-shove. You played the hand to flop a set, right?
Say "if you've got the straight you've got me beat"

Turn is a blank. Villain could be protecting against draw.
Looks like 2pr more than...

Re: General Question about Absorption of New Information

I've kind of learned that each book has a "nugget concept" to take away. It's the idea that's unique to that author in that book.
If you take the collection of ideas together from all the authors,...

Re: Fold straight to worst river ever???

If blinds are only 20/40, you have to fold this on the river as played. There will be better opportunities later to make $$.

Re: 50NL...set play - ill c/r him on the turn...

This used to be a big leak of mine. The river is not a blank, and we bet anyway.

Definitely bet out that turn and win the pot there.
The river re-raise looks sketchy with all the draw...

Re: NL25: AQs post flop, fire or c/f?

The only thing you're behind to is AA, KK, AT and A5, TT and 55.

Pot this flop and take it down. If you get raised, you're probably beat and you can fold.
You're not calling that $0.60 on the...

Re: Bodog $30 AA first hand

I'm normally a cash game player. This was the first time I played a MTT higher than $10 (online). I was as surprised as you were.

So what I'm saying is...I guess this is normal.

Re: $10/45 on Stars two hands.

Hand 1: As played fold.
Hand 2: PF You have 10 BB. Calling 1/4 of your stack here to someone who has you covered 2x over is not recommended. Just shove. Post - still shove.
