Re: TPTK in a limp-reraised pot - any other way to play this?

Either raise the flop or turn, as played i think the river is a fold, unless youve seen him limp 3b before.

The only thing you beat on the river is a bluff (AK)

Re: 100NL KK on AAJr flop

Fold, imo he has JJ and is hoping you have AK.

There is no reason you wouldnt slowplay AK on that flop.

Re: It Feels So Dirty To Want To Fold KK Preflop

There are situations where you can fold KK preflop, you have to have an insane read and be able to remove QQ and AK from their 4betting range. So basically dont fold KK preflop.

Re: 100nl..does 99 have to be this hard?

Folding that river is terrible with the odds youre getting.

Re: KK against thinking opponent

I dont see how villain can call this river with JQ without some serious history here.

I also think people are overestimating how often villain will have air here, and also overestimating how often...

Re: KK against thinking opponent

Why are we wanting to b/f? what hands that we beat will pay us off?

Re: KK against thinking opponent

Tbh id rather c/r AI than c/c here, simply because he is never betting with a worse hand. So he has either AJ a flush or FH, at least by c/r AI you can occasionally win the pot.

I still like c/f...

Re: KK against thinking opponent

1.11 AF on the river suggests he isn't turning his made hands into bluffs here, which makes it an easy c/f

Re: KK against thinking opponent

How is check-fold that bad here? what is his range after calling the turn? How much of that range is he going to turn into a bluff here?

Re: 200nl: TP turns FD, I CRAI.

To assume we have fold equity we really need some sort of history that proves he can fold TPTK type hands. put simply, unknowns dont fold TPTK to this action ever.

Re: KK against thinking opponent

Im not sure what youre ahead of on the river,

Tempted to c/f this river or c/c if you think he's gonna turn 66-TT (cept 99) into a bluff here,

if he had the FD, he's hit, if he had AJ he's now...

Re: so i fold an overpair in a reraised pot (nl200)

I like your 3b size, you have position so we dont need to scare him off. People play alot looser in 3b pots too so id be tempted to call river, also because your hand looks so much like AK from...

Re: 200nl: TP turns FD, I CRAI.

You are very rarely ahead here and he's not calling with any hand you beat,

I think calling works best here because:

1) If youre ahead he'll probably check it down on the river
2) If you hit...

Re: Would you post the BB or post BB + SB dead behind?

dont you get an extra 2 hands from the same $4 if you post BB, if you assume playing from the blinds is +EV given you have already posted?

Re: [150NL] 88 Flopped set 550bb\'s Deep

One good reason its not AK is that we are telegraphing our hand, and there is simply no value in shoving AK on the river as he's never getting called by A8. Assuming that both players involved in the...

Re: [150NL] 88 Flopped set 550bb\'s Deep

I guess it depends on your image Danibus and how light people will call you down. I like a bet on this flop when you think people will call you lighter ie. PP's 99->QQ

Also i suppose it helps...

Re: [150NL] 88 Flopped set 550bb\'s Deep

How often is set over set occurring compared to a normal hand where he can make 30-50 bb off a weaker hand, not to mention that he prob gets 300bb in with set over set anyways.

Re: [150NL] 88 Flopped set 550bb\'s Deep

Interesting, im still not sure i understand why someone would bet almost full pot on that flop with KK. Pretty sure that, to stack someone when they have set over set is not a good enough reason as...
