Re: ***OFFICIAL*** uNL BBV thread: September

So I decided it was finally time to start playing some 100NL over the weekend. 1131 hands and +$615 despite misplaying a couple of hands in big pots. Based on what I've seen so far I also feel pretty...

I've tried to respond to ppl asking for notes, but I've played maybe 1x in the past month with most of the ppl named. I guess I'm not finding the fish very well? I'm definitely finding...

Re: **Official uNL Microbrew thread: September**

Very nice thac, running hot is fun. I should know since I'm almost positive that I've run hot for about 9k hands at 50NL on ftp.

Re: general strategy question 6 handed overpair spots on dry boards

I'd suggest posting specific hands, this post is way too vague to get any useful responses other than a simple "yes, sometimes it's best to fold overpairs on dry boards".

Re: AA checking unscary turn hu

Just bet again, there are so many draws/weak made hands that will check behind when they would've called a turn bet. Readless I think you're giving up a ton of value by checking.

Re: How would you play AQ here?

With your read I 3-bet this and I don't really think it's close. I think I played with button this week. At least someone with similar tendencies/stats. It's a bit annoying because it can take quite...

Re: Official Full TIlt Regulars Thread: Part II

I only had a few hands on chaucer11, and the only thing I could tell from those was that he seemed bad at getting max value from bad players.

Re: NL50 - AQ turn decision

Snapcall? You'll see plenty of worse 2 pairs and weird hands and you're even getting good odds. There's just no way that an unknown has a set so often that you win at showdown less than 26% of the...

Block(bet/fold) or check and call a small bet(Not a big bet).

Why do you want to bet/fold here? Personally I think part of the reason for betting smaller is to induce a...

I'm really glad you posted this hand because I agree that there was some really good discussion. This is probably the most interesting thread I've seen since I started reading uNL more frequently. I...

Re: Attemp to CRAI gone wrong...

I don't see him ever having you beat here if your read is right. How light do you think that he thinks you're 3betting him PF here? If he thinks you have air here a lot you can probably shove and...

Re: Pot control or protection? Discuss this texture

I'd need a way better read than those stats (assuming that they're over a reliable sample) to not try to get all the money in here. People play bad in 3-bet pots and even a total nit will have a...

Re: Official Full TIlt Regulars Thread: Part II

I don't think there's any need to avoid robdog03, he's a huge nit. He's 11/8 and about breakeven over 2400 hands in my DB, despite him coolering me once for stacks. He will mix things up and show up...

Re: NL50 - J6s Flushing facing river overbet...

He might, but it seems unlikely to me that it's a big enough part of his range that it changes our river play.

Re: NL50 - J6s Flushing facing river overbet...

What sightless said, but I'd bet a bit more on the river since your villain seems to really dislike folding. I think I'd lead for $18-$20 here.

Re: Small Pot-thread

This looks fine to me. You're not likely to get paid by better hands or get worse ones to fold on turn/river, and I think the minraise is a worse hand too often to just fold flop.

Re: Video Idea

Gelford, I think this video is a great idea because it can become a focal point for a lot of discussion, not because it'd be some CR copy teaching people how to play.

Re: 50nl: Poorly played draw? Did I live up to my name?

I'd play the flop the same. Fold equity and pot equity and all that. I think PF is standard if they have full stacks, especially if they're bad, but probably a bit thin here. Even though you don't...

Re: 50nl - AJ flops TP getting donked pot into

Calling doesn't let him draw for free, he's already paying $5 for it. I think I'd call and reevaluate depending on what hit and how much he bet. On blank turns I'd bet if checked to and call/fold...

Re: **Official uNL Microbrew thread: September**

I think you'll see some kind of 1 pair/2 pair hand here a lot that's paranoid about the backdoor draws hitting, so I like your smallish raise.

Re: Video Idea

Sounds like a great idea. I've seen a few tourney videos like this where the holecards of all involved players have been shown in the same video by using a replayer. The hard part about doing it as a...

Re: $50 Max - River play?

I'd just shove here. I'm not worried about a better hand and I think he'll pay off a shove with most of the hands he'd call a smaller raise with.

Re: C-Bet in multiway pot on a drawy board

Looks good. This flop hits so many hands and you can't even be confident if you hit any of your possible outs.
