Missing Pages 85-100 in Sit \'n Go Strategy???

This is really weird...pages 85-100 of the book are just not there. It is not like they were torn out, but it looks like the printer simply printed my book with 15 less pages (there are no extra...

Stow the attitude sonny

it's not attitude, it's a fact. raising for info is almost always (with a few exceptions) a terrible idea in any game. in fact, try to...

When people bring it in for a full bet in a live game

[ QUOTE ]

If she knows the BI is $5 I am auto putting her on a 3 flush with an Ace probably. But then the old guy reraises. To be honest there is nothing that strikes more fear into me in poker...

.25/.50 LO8: bluff river 3 handed?

I bet the turn as a semi-bluff, planning to bluff the river if I missed and the action was heads up. Since the pot was 3 handed, I decided to save my money. Was I correct against typical low limit...

Re: .25/.50 LO8 large pot with nut/nut draw

[ QUOTE ]
Calling preflop to encourage more other callers would be better I think. Pulling hand and all that.
I would probably 3-bet the turn. 4-handed your draws appear to give you more than 25%...

Re: Learning limit O/8 and a hand

[ QUOTE ]
Raising flop is a good idea but if button calls and UTG+1 makes it 3-bets you have to fold, or eventually call and give it up on turn if antoher low comes and reavaluate if a good card...

Learning limit O/8 and a hand

Due to some new high limit mixed games that are popping up in AC, I have decided to work on my limit O/8 game, since it is my weakest area. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to get my...

You say that by not reraising on 3rd your opponent will think you are "weak". What exactly do you mean by "weak"? Do you think they will put you on having a ten or worse in...

Re: Stud Hi Bankroll Question

[ QUOTE ]

Assuming someone could 3 table 1/2 and get 2bbs per hour they could make close to $500 a week if they played for 40 hours (does anyone do more than 3 tables of Stud- I can't imagine it...

Actually, even bad players will probably fold on 6th if the hero catches good and villain catches a card 9 or over because they will fear they are drawing dead. You say that,...

Re: Fourth Street Decision from Borgata 20/40 yesterday

[ QUOTE ]

I think it's dangerous to assume people are bad and let them prove you wrong. Instead I assume people know what they're doing and when I find out they're a joke play accordingly.

I thought I might have a lot of fold equity along with my still live but not great draw given that I'm representing a made 9 and he's only drawing to one. You really think...

Re: Razz- Besides folding 6th, did I make other mistakes?

[ QUOTE ]
I like the raise on 3rd, but note that with all those low door cards & multiway action it's gonna take a strong hand to win this; surely a 9-high won't suffice, and with the dead 8's...

Re: razz: dead on 6th?

[ QUOTE ]
One idea, although probably of limited importance at 0.25/0.50, is that I'd prefer that my opponent believe that I'm incapable of folding a made 7 in a heads up hand. If he knows I can...

Re: Razz: Odd hand

With the open pair, that means that the opponent is going to have position on you for the rest of the hand. So even if your 4 card hand was slightly ahead, you'd still probably want to just check...

Re: razz: dead on 6th?

After looking at this hand some more, it seems highly unlikely that the villain was trapping on 5th with a made 7, and that he just paired 3s. This is because it is a 3 way pot and the guy who...

[ QUOTE ]
Most of the point of raising 5th is to take a free card on 6th. Since that was clearly not your plan, you should have just called on 5th because your clubs are kind of dead.

Re: razz: how is my aggression level on these two?

reraising is a bad idea because it can give opponents who brick the pot odds to call a bad 4th street and beat us. It can also trap us in a hand where hero feels obligated to call with a...
