Re: % of profit from pairs
Hi, kev. My pairs break down as
AA: 41%
KK: 12%
QQ: 14%
JJ: 14%
TT-22: 45%
Oops that doesn't add up correctly. I just divided my profit with each hand by my total profit. I guess that...

I think this hand is played perfectly. Don't listen to the rock gallery. When everyone limps at a passive table, this is an instacomplete in the SB, just looking for exactly the kind of flop you...

Re: congratulations on your ace
Advice here is pointless without a real read (not PT stats). Some players will do this with a small pocket pair because they are representing an A. Some players would wait until the turn to raise...

Either all-in or fold. You're either even money against a A/images/graemlins/spade.gifx/images/graemlins/spade.gif, a big dog against a set, or crushing a mid pocket pair. With the money already in...

Re: NL50: QQ on KKx flop
For the curious, I pushed and he called with JJ. Whether that was a brilliant play or just dumb luck, I'll probably never know, but I think in the future I may fold the flop.

NL50: QQ on KKx flop
I'm still not experienced enough at NL to tell if I'm clever or just a donk.
I'm at a horrible table (3 good, but not great, TAGs and 1 fish), and I open UTG for $2 with QQ ($59). It's folded to...

I'm more of a limit player, so I'm looking for basic advice.
Villain is a typical loose passive from these limits. My UTG limp is experimental, so forget about that.
On the flop, the push...

Re: (2/4) Waiting until the river
Not really. Even if he bets the river 100% of the time, raising the turn is still better, because of what range of hands call the raises.

Re: (2/4) Waiting until the river
One extra BB if called. When you weigh the bets gained if called times the probability of villain calling, you'll see that a turn raise makes you more by a small fraction.
