Re: Huge overbet all-ins on flop... what do they mean?

I play NL100 and I've tended to find that huge bets from people with large stacks tend to mean they have a big hand, while small bets indicate weakness. This is a kind of zeroth level thinking from...

Re: (NL100) Flush - but not the nut flush (Turn decision)

Nobody thinks this flush is vulnerable and flat call?

Anyway, I raised to $48. He calls. The river is another 2 to pair the board. It gets checked through and he shows the nut flush. ...

(NL100) Flush - but not the nut flush (Turn decision)

No reads on both opponents. Villain has played this like he's on a draw. The question is: What should I do on the turn? Should I lead out/cr? or what?

Ladbrokes 5-handed. Effective stacks $100....

Re: 77 okay line? 136BB deep

When the second jack comes I'm betting the turn here. I don't think a worse hand is calling us enough on the river.

Re: KK Reraised Pot, 987 Flop

Sure it is, he's in position so his range widens. What is he raising here? 77 88 99, TJs, AdJd, AdTd, AdKd, AdQd, TT, Ad7d, KdQd, JdQd are obvious choices. Lets add JJ, 89s, 78s, 9Ts. ...

You guys never put him on 55 or 66 here? The logic with him holding that hand, is he probably doesn't think he's bluffing.

Re: 100nl classic AA situation

Any reads?

This is a tough spot. I don't like shoving here, and the fact you don't have the As means there's no redraws.

The raiser could be on a set, have an overpair or on a flush draw....

Re: 100nl JJ standard?

Against your typical 100NL I'd probably play it the same. He's seen you slow down on the turn and thinks he can pinch it using his small stack. His range is pretty large here.

Villain 61/19/2.3, but only got 60 hands on him.

Ladbrokes 6-handed.

Re: TPTK getting reraised allin on turn (200 NL)

Without a read, easy fold. He has a set or Q10.

Re: 1/2nl tons of out on the turn OOP.

I like the play on the flop. On the turn you can just call, or if you think he's playing with top pair, eg KQ/KJ etc etc then you could consider pushing if you think you've got enough FE - but I...

Re: QQ - 3handed - set at turn but drawheavy board

I think the flop c bet is okay. You need to find out where you are -b/f seems the obvious approach.

You're in a horrible position on the turn. I think it's hard to fold your set - even though...

If you were still unsure about where you were at (after villain pushes) then this is mistake. Had you been happy with your fold...

Re: NL 100: He bets into me on same-suit board - I have 2 pair

[ QUOTE ]
The problem here is that the lone A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif has 30-odd % equity against you all by itself. If he has any diamond + pair or 4/6/9, he's better than even money against...

100NL Make a set on diamond flop. Turn also a diamond

My plan was to push on a non-diamond turn if he bets.
Maybe the better plan was to raise flop. Comments?
I don't think I can fold this on the turn.
I have no idea what villain's flop bet means....

Re: am i overthinking this

My initial instinct would be to raise it to $90.

I'm surprised a fold was recommended by the first two posters - unless we accept pre-flop that we're just playing for set value.

I have live...

Re: QQ strange spot

I'm with Cobra on this one.

Why do we want to put more money in this pot when:

1) We're OOP.
2) We very well may not have the best hand anyway.
3) We're giving ourselves a tough choice on the...

Is he really calling a pot-sized bet on the turn with AK?

MP's line here is strange as he doesn't pop it at any time. Any reads?

Agreed,...
