Re: *** Official November Graphs/Results & December Goals Thread ***

New job and a double swong this month meant that I only managed 2.5ptbb over 10k hands, ruling out any chance of levelling up to NL100 this year.

But on the plus side, I'm a bit happier with my...

Re: 50NL: Winrate vs stats

I'm guessing that a lot of those guys drop down to 50nl during the morning / afternoon where unfortunately I have to get most of my time in, you've just described perfectly the regular early game,...

Re: NL100: Nut straight, 3betted pot - extracting question

How often does he not have a set or top pair here? Villain is sitting on his prayer mat saying "please don't let him have AK bc I have to call or raise any bet".

My guess is the money will go...

50NL: Winrate vs stats

I'm currently retooling my game (played 16/11/3 for the last 50k hands but winrate hasn't been what it should be).

A lot of the higher stakes players advocate an aggressive game at or above my...

Re: nl100 rivered bottom set, gotta fold here, right?

C/f flop unless you have a 75%+ folds to cbet stat.

Call river, I think you are good here a lot, that's a missed flush draw as often as a backdoor and you have odds.

Re: 600 NL flopped set.

What Effen said.

Re: NL50: Set on a Flush board, Rs\'d on Turn, River Action?

Yeah the call pf is pretty terrible oop against half the entire table.

My first thought was b/f for 10 but that's so weak and really the only hand you beat that would make that turn raise is 33...

Re: 50NL Flopped set of 10\'s How do I extract maximum?

Well, pf you should either have raised TT first off (this is always a raise for me) or autofold to villains raise because you simply don't have the odds to call.

Think about it. You have to...

Re: 50NL Flopped set of 10\'s How do I extract maximum?

[ QUOTE ]
Re the original post, my cold call of villians raise must have just stunk of a set though once I go check raising the flop and I then I face the liklihood of him giving the hand up there...

Re: NL50: A flush on paired board, slightly deep, the ol\'min raise

Thanks much for the advice guys, I ended up pulling the trigger anyway on the basis that my hand was pretty well disguised and that I thought trips his most likely holding.

None of you mentioned...

Re: TowerGaming FR multitable

I have a very similar setup. An extra gig of ram will probably help a bit, especially if you are using Vista - mine is on order. Otherwise do what Baja suggested, restart every hour and set PT to...

Re: AA - Comments please

Ask yourself, what does that minraise preflop actually achieve, aside from getting one extra measly dollar in the pot?

Basically it is almost never right to slowplay unless you can justify the...

Re: TowerGaming FR multitable

Haven't tried gametime, but I know this is a problem for everyone, basically I can't play more than 6 tables without turning the HUD off. How much ram you got? have you tried Tower support?

NL50: A flush on paired board, slightly deep, the ol\'min raise

Have just 20 hands on villain at 10/0/0.25, for what that's worth.

Usually the ol'check-minraise on the turn from this kind of villain means pure nuts. But there are a bunch of hands he can...

[ QUOTE ]
fold > 3bet > call flop imo.

[/ QUOTE ]I agree with fold but the other two are backwards. I'd nearly always fold this flop.

Why?

Re: NL100: Tough Spot when AQs makes TPTK on monotone flop

Fold to c/r and def. fold turn, you are on his left elbow so you'll get a better spot than this later.

If anything I would reraise the flop, he only needs Kh or Ah to justify the c/r.

fold...

NL50: 3bet pot, villain looks rather weak, 2 barrel here?

Villain was 28/12/0 over only about 15 hands.

Ok, I almost certainly should not have 3bet this in the first place. But having done it, how bad is a 2 barrel here, or an all in shove on the...

Re: 50NL: How much to raise?

With these kinds of passive villains, you have to do their betting for them and its usually best to assume they have the best possible losing hand which is probably AQ here. So, a shove seems best,...

Re: RYANCMU teaches struggling NL50 and NL100 players

Re the AQo example (I don't want to clutter the thread by repeating it all):

You are saying that 3betting forces your opponent to either turn his hand more or less face up or fold. He will fold...

Re: RYANCMU teaches struggling NL50 and NL100 players

Hi Ryan, great thread and thanks for taking the time.

Just a question following on from the AQo discussion earlier. I was pretty surprised you 3bet this so often, I usually do the opposite and...

Re: 50NL: Isolating Limpers

I play 50NL regularly so I'll have a stab at answering.

There aren't any cookie cutter answers to any of your questions. You should be adjusting your play to the table dynamic, not berating the...

Re: NL50: Just line check - anyone folding it?

The turn minraise often means "donk with a set", but no way can you fold here bc A8 does this too and a bunch of other hands. Think of it as part of your business overhead if you get oversetted.

Re: Another FR Split Poll

I'll just add another vote for 100nl being a floater for now, the worst thing that could happen is that overall traffic decreases as a result of the split and that's more likely to happen if the...

Re: 77 river decision (NL100)

Flop is fine but I fold turn, whiffed overs or flush draw are starting to look unlikely by that point. Def fold river as played without a very specific read.
