Re: 50PL: K7o Steal -> good thin vbet or idiocy?

to be called by what?

It isn't thin because I think I'm ever behind, It's thin because his calling range is so narrow. He doesn't have AA,AK, *maybe* he calls with QQ. JJ, TT he probably folds. KQ...

Re: Best way to combat cbets?

3-Way, K9s is a monster, even OOP. 3bet sometimes, Call sometimes.

When I call, I try c/c,c/f first few times to determine if he is capable of double barrels. Occasionally when he is obviously...

Re: 50PL: K7o Steal -> good thin vbet or idiocy?

He was 40/10/2.8 over 47 hands. I had not seen him do a lot of 3betting, so I thought he had a pretty tight range. I made the bet expecting to see QQ, as you suggest, though by the river I'm beating...

Re: 25NL Hand...should I be folding this?

It isn't a flop check-raise, it is just a minraise.

This can mean a number of things these days, while it is sometimes a monster- and there are lots of monsters on this flop- It can also mean, 'I...

Re: NL25 - Push/fold pf situation

It isn't really exactly calculable, as your equity is a function of his calling range, and his calling range is presumably a function of stack depth. Your fold equity also increases as stack depth...

Re: 25NL: Post Steal Hits TPBK, Donked into twice

Once he's donked into me the second time I'm sure he's still on a draw. We already know he donk-calls from the flop action. Why wouldn't I want him to call me with the draw? My equity is better than...

Re: Nut flush, ugly river.

As a bit of a LAGtard myself I'd like to confirm that I LOVE playing against people that 3bet their big hands, call (and go halfway/too far with) their mediocre hands, and fold their weak hands. The...

Re: 25NL: call a 4bet w/AKo, small 3betting history?

[ QUOTE ]
If his range is 99+, AKs, AKo, and AQs you are about a 7% dog so I can't really see calling here. He might have something that isn't that great but if he has any pocket pair 99+ you are a...

actually the worst-case scenario is against a set and a made straight (with one of the flush cards), but even then you're still only a 2.6-1 dog.

13 outs twice is roughly 13x4 (using the rule of 2 and 4) or 52% is like 1.1:1 , 50% is 1:1.

13 outs twice is roughly 13x4 (using the rule of 2 and 4) or 52% is like 1.1:1 , 50% is 1:1.

You're getting 50:20 -> 5:2 - > 2.5:1 so you need 1/(1+2.5) -> .29 -> 29%

Obviously if you...

Re: Should I take a cheap river card or keep betting my draw?

He folds better hands to a river bluff all the time- random 8. 9, 5, 2 hands- and he completely incidentally has one of those bad 12 cards a lot of the time. (12 of 45 unseen cards twice)

Re: Should I take a cheap river card or keep betting my draw?

Turn is a very easy semibluff, since he just turned his hand over as a very weak hand or draw. These guys fold to a raise here almost always. Forget about your draw, your fold equity is bigger than...

Re: 25NL: two marginal spots with AK

That is pretty much what I thought people would say.

Hand 1: My thinking- AQ cancels out AJ. My image puts AT in his range, and AT pays for a lot of set combinations. Some possibility of a...

Re: Nice flop from the big blind, about 200BB deep vs small blind

turn is marginal, but can be justified with implied odds esp. if you shove river here. He has the flush almost never, I expect to see a set.
