Re: QQ 3 bet pot oop - seemingly simple spot

He didn't call to set mine, but we should recognize that this is a bad flop considering his stats. Should we just blindly c/c no matter what the flop?

I think considering stats and flop texture...

Re: QQ 3 bet pot oop - seemingly simple spot

This may be an exaggeration but if I am going to c/f this flop then maybe I should just fold pf. If I cant be happy getting my money in with QQ on a board with no A or K then Im...

I dont like calling here but you guys might be right. I think calling lets his AK draw/get away cheap.

Yeah, but raising has no value because he never calls with AK. Not...

Re: 50nl, I need exp with deep stack play

Against a TAG opponent everyone is always saying to 'check for pot control', because they won't call with worse. I think we are giving our opponents too much credit. We should just keep betting for...

Re: $50NL- Flush draw and pair on turn standard?

[ QUOTE ]
How do you know when to check the turn or bet it when you have a FD and a pair? Is it based on reads?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, it depends on villain. If I know they call flop light but fold...

Re: $50NL- 4-bet or call with Q\'s pf against unknown

I like 4 betting and calling a shove. Kasane makes a good point in reference to the BU. You don't want to give him odds to call.

Re: $50NL- Flush draw and pair on turn standard?

In a vacuum this seems fine. When playing 3 handed reads and table dynamics are more important. So it becomes harder to give a good answer, IMO.

Maybe results oriented but, I might check the turn...

Re: 50NL: bad turn after flopping a set

After the SB checks the flop you might as well bet. Get some money in the pot. Since you checked and UTG obliged and made a (weak) bet, go ahead and raise. You're not getting any money in the pot...

Re: Failed stack a donk vs random river aggro

I don't really like the stack-a-donk line here. You bet into 4 people. If villain is competent at all he has to realize you have something. I would just bet the turn for value.

As played, I think...

Re: KJs vs LP mcTAG opener

[ QUOTE ]
It doesn't matter what his opening range is. It matters what his 3bet CALLING range is. If he folds to your raise then you can have ATC here, so when he calls will KJs be ahead of his...

...Why waste KJs by 3betting and turning it into a bluff...

[/ QUOTE ]

You're not turning KJs into a bluff by 3 betting, because it's ahead of a standard TAGs CO opening range, IMO....

Sorry for the hijacking but what exactly does "meowchow" mean. I keep hearing it tossed around this forum but haven't been around long enough to pick up on the context.

Re: KJs vs LP mcTAG opener

I prefer to 3 bet pf, though I will mix in some calls too. His range is going to be wide so reraising is going to be profitable. Plus, both of you will miss the flop often so that means you either...

Re: 50NL: KK Turn Decision

Unless you have a read that he calls light pf and flop, I think you have to c/f. With his flat call on the flop I would put him on either JJ or QQ. If he has JJ with a /images/graemlins/heart.gif he...

Because tables break up regularly, so I'm often sitting down with new, unknown players.

50NL: I butcher QQ on pretty much every street

Villain is unknown. Note stack size.

I'm putting this one up street by street, because I was completely lost.

I'm always a little lost here. Call? Fold? Raise? Also, how would you play JJ? 99? 88?

Re: Hand Reading: Gussing Game

The main problem in this hand is that you, yourself, acknowledge that villain is a fish. Yet you are trying to push him off a hand. That's not how you beat a fish. You are way over thinking this hand.

Re: TPTK 3 bet pot ~200 bb deep

You already posted results but I'm calling this all day, especially with the nut flush draw. Like you said you are only behind AA. More likely he has a big pair + /images/graemlins/diamond.gif

Re: Hand Reading: Gussing Game

No way do you have a set or two pair. Your weak turn bet pretty much leads me to believe you have a weak Ace or flush draw. When you bet the river you don't have the weak Ace anymore. I put you on J...
