Re: 5.50 just getting started

Flop came all-hearts, and all unders, but SB and BB got hot and heavy before I could say anything. SB flipped QQ and BB flipped AhJh.

I will have to think about the push to eliminate one player...

Re: $16 - 2nd pair on paired board

I almost always fold that river bet, but there's a good possibility that I don't make your turn bet, which makes the river harder to play. The flush hit, a K might be slow-playing, and you didn't...

Re: 16$ : Push with 44

I'm almost done with Moshman and I am not sure he really recommends pushing 10+ BB over a HBL without a solid read. In other words, make sure the HBL is really an HBL.

You can also cut the last...

Re: Home Games around St. Paul, MN

I was just wondering if I should start this thread or if it would be rude. I know of a couple games but would love to connect with a few more in the 50NL - 200NL range. It was hard to get games...

Re: [22$] QQ vs. Regualr

The limper folded - we're against the BB. (Does that widen his range?)

I c-bet the flop every time. He doesn't know we didn't flop our ace. It makes the turn decision pretty easy if you do that.

Re: An ethical question

On the slim chance we're not being trolled:

You can always talk about your hand when you are heads-up.
You can never talk about your hand when you are not.
If you don't want callers, raise...

Re: Starbucks on the strip?

I took my first trip to LV last year - we were staying at Circus Circus but got there at 8:30am, so decided to walk the strip, all the way from Mandalay up. The first Starbucks we saw was between...

Re: KQs, reraised by button

It really depends on what you mean by "ultra-LAG"... you saw him play a ton of hands, but was he playing a ton of hands that were raised pre-flop? And was he pushing people off their hands...

Re: AQ correct laydown?

My numbers cold-calling preflop from blinds with AQ are awful. I've taken to just folding them against solid opponents (or looser ones raising from EP) and 3-betting opponents who steal a ton.

As...

Re: UB has added bad-beat jackpots!

I thought we loved bad-beat jackpots, not because we think it's a good bet or because we like being raked more, but because it attracts far more bad play from the kind of players we love to play...

Re: 2-pair facing river push

We don't play KTs so that we can stack off with TP2K. I put him on not-a-6-ever, but a lot of 88, JJ, QQ. A fold here would be totally fine.

I guess 76 might show up here occasionally. And 97...

Re: Will stars do anything about this? (cheater)

It was very correctly pointed out in that thread that life-bans for minor first-time infractions would be detrimental to our game. That didn't change your mind about first time table-talkers?

Re: Showing Bluff Theory

At these limits, everything is personal. Showing bluffs will tilt your opponents and they'll make mistakes. I'd have to take a look at your math, but yeah, villain could be calling down light if he...

Re: Small Pot-thread

Here's another hand I didn't play really well. Just folding in an unraised pot (or not getting carried away) would have been just fine.

Re: Small pocket pair full house - any reason to fold this?

Don't post results
Don't donk-min-bet flop (unless you're going to push all-in to a raise)
Don't min-donk AGAIN on the turn
And don't fold this to any opponent.

Post hands you're confused about...
