Re: NL$200| QQ - Committed but his line is very strong!

FWIW, when discussing stuff like this I tend to overstate my points, so don't take me calling a turn bet "a mistake" as more than it is. I'm simply looking at the merits of the plays and saying...

Re: 200nl - 67s, gross turn semi-bluff shove?

After the pf raise, which is fine, this seems like a fairly straightfoward line. NH. I hope you got there. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

[ QUOTE ]
I guess the point of my thread/question is to ask who, having taken a line for the reasons I've given, then changes the plan when so deep in light of the new information provided on the...

I am a position nit. For the longest time I would not defend my blinds. Finally, though, I started realizing that it isn't hard to figure out who is raising light from LP and...

Re: 50NL- Defending My Blind And Hit

[ QUOTE ]
No - I usually fold the flops I miss.

[/ QUOTE ]3betting from the blinds and then c/f every flop you miss is giving up way too easy.

I had a guy with a VPIP of 45% today fold QQ to...

Standard rule should just be never fold set-over-set for 100 bb's.

Re: LC: A new level

You see this kind of thinking all the time in the micro tournament play. I used to play those 4/180s on Stars almost exclusively- how I build my bankroll, and people would call with all sorts of...

Re: Can I fold bottom set, NL25?

PT said "fold."

I think it's a spot where you could fold bottom set at 25NL.

But I am willing to stack off on the turn.

This is all true, but it should also tell you something about your turn bet, as this really isn't any different from a turn check/raise.

First off, how the rest of your game is will inform a little of how you play these situations. If you are double barreling a lot, then you'll want to double...

50NL- Defending My Blind And Hit

Not really a decision post- more like "what's my plan?"

Villain is 17/7/1, and I haven't really seen him be very active. I know PF and flop are completely standard. I'd be betting this flop no...

Re: AA hands - 2 big losses - am i playing badly here??

SPR is only measured on the flop. This is because it is mainly a tool for planning your hand. You plan for SPRs you'd like before the flop, and then you plan how you will play your hand based on...

Re: 50NL- 44 Flops a Full House

I've kind of come to the conclusion that it doesn't really matter what we do. Most plays are going to end up at the same place.

As it happens, I called and then donked the turn for a little over...

Re: 50NL- 44 Flops a Full House

Ok, so everyone seems to think that raising is the correct play here. The reason being that I probably won't get much more action unless villain has a really big hand- which means a slowplayed hand...

Re: AA hands - 2 big losses - am i playing badly here??

It's possible that you could have gotten away depending on the action. On this board, a crai on the turn usually means you're beat.

But the point is not how to avoid getting stacked. The point...

Re: AA hands - 2 big losses - am i playing badly here??

In hand 1 I think you are betting too much on the flop and turn. It's a fairly dry board (he could be drawing with 78s, but that's about it) so you are in a WA/WB situation. Your best case scenario...
