Re: reraised pot oop -- nl cash

when he folds, we get 100% of the $400 in the pot -- so 400x.

Re: ??? River decison - 100nl

"Cuz there's alot of pair + straight draws that may turn there hand into a bluff on the river"

i don't think many players think/play this way at 100 nl

Re: HU cash, 0.5/1, improved on the turn, always a raise?

imo you didn't improve on the turn because his range includes more 89 than 99/88/7x with a bigger kicker.

Re: 3bet heuristics -- nl cash

not looking for them myself . . .

looking for how others (specifically passives) play/think.

these don't have to be strict. rules of thumb is pretty much what i'm thinking about here.

3bet heuristics -- nl cash

for your average passive player against your average 2p2er --

1. if i call in position pf, felt top pair because he never has anything

2 . . . ?

999 board -- 2/4 nlcash

we're 10 hands in. he's reraised one time out of position. his flop aggression is pretty high.

effective stacks -- 250.

i raise (xx) preflop to 12. he calls.

999 flop.
he checks. i bet...

Re: ugh -- call this river checkraise? nlcash

i had top two. his line was strange. the way he was playing, the river isn't a bluff and he's probably going to get more money in earlier with good but vulnerable hands. was thinking he might play...

ugh -- call this river checkraise? nlcash

10/20 2k effective. only 20 hands in.

my image -- nothing abnormal. his image -- looks like a guy who is a good 2/4 player.

i raise to 60 with xx. he calls.

a87 -- no flush draw.
he...

Re: Stats Question: high Flop AF - Leak?

if you're betting 37% of flops and winning 61% of showdowns when you bet the turn/river then you can be exploited pretty damn hard

Re: reraised pot in position with a bluff catcher -- nl cash 3/6

when i call pf, i'm not just trying to hit a set.

does slightly more than normal tilt his range away from aa-jj? does it matter at all?

also, most of the time if i'm good i'm only a 25%...

reraised pot in position with a bluff catcher -- nl cash 3/6

we're all of 12 hands in. he's seen me reraise 2x oop with weakish hands. he hasn't reraised yet.

the two hands we've played, he's taken passive lines.

effective stacks are 650 or so

i...

Re: so i have this big pair -- nl cash

i think this is a situation where i'm trying to look f.o.s.

if i had not posted teh hand and had asked people to give me a read, i think i wouldve gotten a much wider range

Re: CashNL HU PT AutoRate Rules

imo turn decisions are tougher than flop or river decisions. a lot of poor players will elect to check or call to see what happens on the river

if a player is aggressive on the turn, it's usually...

Re: CashNL HU PT AutoRate Rules

the biggest fish stat is probably hands played. they don't have this as a rule, but if you only rate people with x amount of hands then you can tell if someone hasn't played much. amount won could...

Re: so i have this big pair -- nl cash

oops read that too quickly -- that one works well too.

my thinking on the hand in general was that if i bet say 100 i'm going to have a 320 pot with 440 behind. i have very few safe cards -- k,...

Re: so i have this big pair -- nl cash

i think JTx boards might be better than three broadways for repping a bluff (ak/aq might want to do this)

Re: 200NL cash inside straight flush draw turn - bet or check?

as for the turn, what creed said

as for the river, if the ace or k hits, i think you should make that bet. other cards, i don't think enough of his range folds often enough to make a profit

Re: A plea to omgwtfnoway (re the variance thread blowup)

none of these formulas take into account the variance of variance. we've all seen people go absolutely crazy esp in heads up.

in a sit n go, you play other people. if you tilt, then your variance...
