Re: Should I turn my hand into a bluff?

I hate when I ask a question about postflop play and get answers about preflop play. I think you're right that oop it's better to push or fold, and given my read on the situation I actually would...

Re: PokerTracker: The Next Generation (NEW SOFTWARE DISCUSSION)

I'm late spotting this thread but ability to import PO database would be good please.

Re: Should I turn my hand into a bluff?

Also on second thoughts he doesn't check with KQ often because he hopes I'm slowplaying AK or AA.

Re: Should I turn my hand into a bluff?

Ok, 'value bluff' then. If my range is right then he folds 28 hands, calls/raises 11 and possibly calls 4.

If you think vilain is 4betting light, call him with your 9s instead of raising him.

Obviously on this occasion I hadn't thought ahead, but if I'm expecting him to...

Re: Should I turn my hand into a bluff?

Well since you find this comical perhaps you could comment on the range I put him on after his check: AJ, KK, KQ, JTs, JJ, TT. Or are you villain?

Should I turn my hand into a bluff?

Due to recent history/stats etc. I felt villain might be 4-betting light here. Is it best to push or fold? His flop check is interesting. Worth a bet on turn?

Re: Deep stacked, blind v blind, flush v flush

Not much point talking about preflop as I just made a variation play. My flop raise defines my hand very clearly but he stills shoves on me. If he only does this with any 2 hearts I can't call. It...

So his range includes non-flush hands?

Deep stacked, blind v blind, flush v flush

Villain and I have both been really aggressive. He's been 3-betting me a lot, I've 4-bet him a few times, but we haven't really clashed postflop. Spewy call?

Re: Getting value after the worst card in the deck hits

Let me reframe this into the question, is this a spot for a blocking bet, say 400 or so? I tend to think of river blocking bets as being for marginal hands (usually) and near-nut hands (enough to...

Getting value after the worst card in the deck hits

Villain seems like a 'bet when checked to' kind of guy, hence the flop play. Turn bet is supposed to look like 'I just picked up a flush draw'. Should I bet more? River card obviously sucks a lot....

What stack size is it best to cold-call with?

Having played a lot of 6 max cash games I've developed an aversion to cold-calling when the opener is in fairly late position. But in tournaments I find myself in some awkward spots due to the stack...

Re: How do I avoid the overbet shove here?

The hand he showed up with after I shoved - 87o. Yeuch. Next time I'll shove pre against that guy. Anyway, having analysed it I think I can show that check-raising is more profitable than shoving....

How do I avoid the overbet shove here?

Villain has a wide raising range, and I was seriously considering cring the flop with my overcards and 2 backdoor draws. The turn card gives me a real problem though after he checks behind.

Re: Oop semibluff late in NL $109

I think I may have figured this out now. The reason it is a confusing situation is that there can't be ANY hands that it is right for the villain to cold-call with in EP with an M of just over 6. ...

I failed to take into account that he called your PF raise with only 15 BBs. I think his calling range is tighter than you listed. I can see the average villian calling with AJs or KQs,...

I don't hate the play. You hope for check/check and a chance to see a free turn, and you have plenty of outs if he hit the flop, but I think his stack is too small for this to be optimal....
