Re: Jacks on the button

Grunch

Without a specific read on villain, I'd call it down. You might be beat but you have an overpair and he didn't reraise you on the flop so maybe he had overs or a lower over pair.

Brag: I came up with the best poker catch phrase EVAR!!!

When you have the nuts on the river and you bet and your opponent calls you say (especially when it's a big bet):

"Do you like CDs?"

When they say yes then you say

"Then see deez...

Re: A tricky flop with TT UTG

Is it -EV to call one small bet on the flop to hope to hit a set on the turn? How do I calculate the EV of making that call?

Re: poker pro - hardest job there is?

You know what's a hard job? Working for 10 cents an hour in a sweatshop in Indonesia. That's hard.

Can you create an ePasseporte account without linking to a bank?

I recently made a deposit on Pokerstars via a prepaid visa card (I'm US) and Ultimatebet gave me $10 which I worked up to a decent amount. I now want to transfer my money in UB to PokerStars. Can I...

Re: flopped top set...

It's .05/.10 hold em. I'd say call. Based on the past actions of the Big blind it doesn't seem like he would reraise on the river so you could likely see a showdown for 2 more Big bets.

Re: AQ when you don\'t hit the flop

The flop is pretty dry here and you're only against 1 opponent but he could be a donk calling with a 7, 2 or 3. The pot is only 3 BBs so it's not worth fighting over it too much. You have position so...

Re: The Bill Fillmaff character - not funny

Bill Fillmaff was funny but yeah he did kind of run out of steam. Still it was a good concept but you can only take a parody of a poker player so far.

Re: $10 free from UB for trying to deposit with a US credit card

In the e-mail they said it was because I tried to make a deposit and failed and that I should call or e-mail them to figure out a solution that would work. Maybe they were just going to give me $10...

$10 free from UB for trying to deposit with a US credit card

I tried to make a deposit with a US credit card about a week ago and it was rejected (though they told me it had been "pre-approved" but never actually put any money in my account). I didn't e-mail...

Re: Blackwater incident in Iraq

I thought it's the Iraqi's country, but apparently we're just the imperial occupiers saying that our people are better than theirs. The whole Blackwater situation is insane.

What to do in late position with lots of limpers?

Let's say I'm in late position (the button or cut-off) holding something good like 99 or AJs. There's 4 limpers in behind me. Being a generally loose low limit table with no specific reads on people,...

Re: Top-pair vs. scary board. Worth seeing a showdown?

Also, is there a way I could or should post this so that it isn't so obvious that I lost or is basically telling everyone the result not really related to the analysis?

Re: BRAG: The worst beat I\'ve ever put on someone!!!
