Re: Stud 8 in Vegas?
Hm, sounds like I'm out of luck because I'm going during the week and don't have much of a bankroll, but thanks for the replies.

Stud 8 in Vegas?
I'm making a brief trip to Vegas; anyone know if there is actual live stud 8 there? Also, anyone know if actual live stud 8 is worth playing? I've only played stud 8 online, so I'm fairly curious.

Re: Stud8, A8A - capped on 3rd
Well, I can certainly see why everyone disagrees with me. However, I would much rather have everyone fold to my bets too often instead of calling me 100% (which they probably do anyways with a...

Played perfectly, except for the river. Played the exact same way I would have played it. Quite honestly, you aren't getting the pot odds to call here against anyone halfway decent, since they have...

Re: To nitty? Stud8
Would you play 99A here? It's basically the same hand when you have 2 low draws against you. Fold, unless people will fold if you reraise and they probably won't.

Re: Stud8, A8A - capped on 3rd
A couple of big mistakes here:
3rd: Your opponent has AAK or KKK... and it's a 50-50 shot as to which (one other dead king and two dead aces). Believe it or not, you are a dog against both hands...

Re: Stud H/L (HORSE tourney)???
There are rare situations, against extremely tight players, where you can raise with nice upcards and generally get them to fold on 3rd or 4th. Unless you have a very good specific read on this...

yea i don't like your 5th raise. unless he is really bad, seat 5 has a flush so you wanna keep seat 4 in. seat 4 will def call one more bet but fold for 2.

Re: Stud8 - flush + lowdraw
Third is an easy fold against that many low cards. Your hand is an easy call against two high upcards and an instant fold when another low sneaks in with them.
Fourth is okay unless you think you...

Re: hi/lo; did I play this too aggressive early?
I would lean towards raising 4th to eliminate the third player, since you may be ahead or not far behind. Realistically, I probably would have called in this situation, but I think raising would...

Bet 4th for value and because seat 2 sucks.
