Re: Is it Mathematically correct to call the reraise on 3rd here?

[ QUOTE ]
You make trips on fourth street less than 5% of the time.

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, that was the "2/44" part of my post. Should actually be /42, which makes the win even bigger.

Re: Shorthanded advice

[ QUOTE ]
Should I play more high cards SH?

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes! High hands are stronger than in a full game, since the low is made less often. If you can eliminate opponents (which it sounds like...

Re: Is it Mathematically correct to call the reraise on 3rd here?

[ QUOTE ]
The trips outs give you about 83% equity + implied odds, which is obviously very nice, but you only have two of them.

[/ QUOTE ]
Isn't that enough? Even if I make the very silly play...

Re: Nut low draw...

Buzz,

[ QUOTE ]
For a full game (nine or ten players), your second nut low will win (or get quartered or sixthed) about half the time and lose about half the time.

Doesn't this...

Re: Jeffage\'s article

[ QUOTE ]
this doesn't really work either though because hero's EV on 4th will not remain static throughout the hand as cards fall.

I went through some of the numbers after reading his article, and everything I came up with agreed with Jeff's conclusions. For those of you that disagree, I'd like to hear what you think...

Re: PLO8 SNG\'s

[ QUOTE ]
sngs's are signficantly lower variance than cash games

[/ QUOTE ]
No. If you have experienced less variance with SNGs, it's only because the opponents tend to be weaker. With similar...

Re: Nut low draw...

[ QUOTE ]
If I estimate my outs at 21 then isnt 3.75:1 enough to draw to nearly half the deck? If not it has to at least be close.

[/ QUOTE ]
Count it as 10.5 outs, but yes it is close. If you...

Re: Nut low draw...

If you don't have counterfeit protection (e.g., if you have A3 without the 5), you need at least 4.5:1 (9:2) immediate pot odds. If you do have counterfeit protection (like with the 5), you need...

Unimproved AK 4-way

I've been losing 20ptbb/100 playing no limit holdem. This is not good, I think. Help please?

$.50/$1 6-max. I am playing TAG. Opponents seem pretty loose and bad.

Loose passive UTG ($289)...

Re: HU PLO8 Tournament - First hand big high draw

Re: HU PLO8 Tournament - First hand big high draw

This is a tough one. You're a coin flip with almost any strong hand he could have (fav vs. a set, slight dog vs. set + backdoor low draw, slight dog to QJT9, only in bad shape vs. unlikely better...

Re: Short Handed FT .25/.50 Turn baby flush, Str8 Flush Draw and 3rd L

Flop bet is fine since it's so short. You maybe have best low and flush draw, and if you're lucky someone will fold and you can protect your big pimpin pair.

Re: PLO8 Hand

Calling the preflop raise is marginal but okay, unless the raiser is a rock with AA+low, as a lot your hand's value is from flopping top pair.

I don't like the flop bet. I don't see him folding to...
