Re: What was the Best poker Book published in 2007?

Haven't read Kill Everyone. Among the others, PNL is the best, with the Stox book, Full Tilt strategy guide and the SNL book all valuable additions to the literature.

Use the 5/10 rule. If you have to call less than 5% of the effective stacks (the lower stack between you and the raiser), then call.

Re: Whos read Small stakes Hold-em?

I read SSHE as I had transitioned from limit to no limit holdem. While its not aimed at NL or PL Holdem, the book helped me become a better poker player.

Re: Ed Miller\'s new book

That was the old working title of PNL.

Miller has written 4 books: SSHE, GSIH, NLTAP and PNL. He is working on a 5th. PNL2. He may publish other books later, but they may not be 2+2 books.

Re: 10-20 QQ vs. UTG limp rr

Jay starts the hand with 2100 in a 10-20 game. This is a bit of an awkard stack size UTG for AA-QQ + AK to make an initial raise. You can raise it 4-5xBB, hit top pair/over pair on the flop, bet...

Re: Doing business - Is this enough overlay?

No, it's not enough overlay. You will go on bad streaks and get killed.

In a typical hold'em insurance chart, the house has a much larger edge than you propose.
