Re: Examples of why your dad is/was awesome

1) My dad worked long hours at a very demanding job but somehow still found time to coach me and my siblings in whatever sport we were playing (after learning how to do it himself). He was never...

Re: RENO Winter Pot of Gold.....dec 7-16

So do you register for these in advance or just show up? Do they fill (I'm looking at the weeknight 7pm $100 + $20 if it make any difference)? It would be bad to make the drive and then find out I...

Re: Help: Selling Action in Tournaments?

Hey Adam,

My other thread on this topic got locked (??) so I'll say thanks here. I searched a year back, then ate dinner, then posted w/o noticing my question has been asked already. And I guess...

Please help Re: selling shares of my PCA seat

I was fortunate enough to win a PCA package and I’ll be taking my family with me. It occurred to me that I could pay for some of the extra travel expenses by selling shares of myself in the event. ...

Re: 1-table S&Gs - your feedback requested

I'm in favor of keeping the antes in the game.

Re: The 16s on PokerStars

Yeah, the low rake attracts a lot of grinding regs. You can't avoid them completely, but there are always lots of tables running, so if I see too many regs setting up sets, I just wait a few...

Re: AK suited pre flop

Given the structure of this tourney, your reads, and your non-desperate stack size I can find a fold here.

Re: 16s: Bad Fold?

Getting 4:1 postflop makes this a call, even if you're pretty sure you're behind. Even if he has a pair your AK still has a fighting chance. He could also have AQ, AJ, KQ. With the BB out of the...

Re: PCA Steps are driving me insane!

I offered a little advice (whatever that's worth) in this thread about 3/4 of the way down. link (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=12874838&an=&page=&vc=1)

Re: PCA - encouragement for the little guys

OPR = "official poker rankings" (you can guess the web site) and it is like Sharkscope for MTTs (36 or more in a Stars tourney, I believe). Good luck!

Re: Live tournaments

I agree with many of the comments above. Before my first major live tourney a few years ago, I'd only played online and never played poker in a casino. A few friends took me out and we played a few...

Re: W$ to spend for a PCA ticket

I like the step 3 idea, too. Also when you get to step 6 at least you can do a little table selection as you see who's sitting down. Should be able to get a softer "final table" than you'd end up...

Re: limping from the button

I fold preflop. Agree if that if you have to play, raise it up and hope they fold. On the flop I probably fold and wish I hadn't limped preflop. On the turn I check, then fold for the third time.

Re: Step 4: Whats your shoving range?

I'm really curious to see the replies here. I can't picture myself shoving anything here. A shove seems to say "please don't call" in this spot, doesn't it? Were there some weird table dynamics...

PCA - encouragement for the little guys

I'm a regular lurker but infrequent poster here - only a few of you know me. I just wanted to send some encouragement your way to play the PCA steps. I play the $16s mostly and have a decent ROI,...

Earlier in this thread there was an allegation that two specific players were ‘in cahoots’ during a Step 6. Were they reported to Pokerstars for collusion and if so what was the result?
