Re: Starting out with $100 - advice needed

The best way to beat microstakes is bonus whoring/rakeback. You can be a profitable player, but at the stakes you're playing, you'll make just as much through bonuses. If you haven't made a real...

Re: how do i beat passive pre-flop super aggressive postflop players

if a player is letting you see cheap flops and betting all the subsequent streets, just limp in a lot of flops and c/f unless you flop something good; if you flop something let him do the betting for...

Re: Comments on a hand from this past weekend in Vegas - $1/$2 NL

pretty bad play by your friend...he's going to be seeing a group 1 pretty often and will only get better hands to call, worse hands to fold

Re: Using chips from one tourney in another

Last year they re-used the same chips as from the previous years. I personally saw a few people walking away with a couple of green $25 chips as a souvenier - they don't really have any value after...

Re: Looking to register for small events... Question

I haven't been to the WSOP so far this year, but judging from previous years, it dies down a ton in the middle of the series, then jumps back up right before the main event. You can register online...

Re: \"Pot control\" ? or..

he has a weak ace here - good size bet at the end, anything else and you're likely not called. Pretty standard play on your part, you played the hand fine. You can always try a large overbet here...

Re: QQ facing tough river

the only hands you can beat here are jj, 99, or a total move. very likely you're looking at a 10 if he's willing to call so much on the turn and he needs to be real gutsy to call when you fire big...

Re: how hard/ easy of a fold is this?

Seems like he has K-10 or QhJh, possibly a set of fives. Very unlikely he was staying in on a gutterball with your aggression. I push and expect to see K-10 or QhJh at least 80% of the time.

Re: 200NL unraised pot vs tap

you played this hand so strangely postflop...there are two ways for going about this hand:

1) bet for value/try to protect your hand
2) try to control potsize

Your hand isn't strong enough to...

I covered a final table in an earlier WSOP event where this happened and here is what the floorman told me:

It is up to the discretion of the floor to decide if showing the hand was intentionally...

Re: Has AC spoke to the media since he ME bust out hand?

I haven't heard of him talking to anyone since. It is not that uncommon for the big names to decline interviews or skip out of press conferences after busting out - it's understandable too since...

Re: Madsen Interview

Moneymaker is actually much skinnier now than when he won the main event...I'd guess he's lost 30 pounds since then at least.

I would think I'm stating the obvious, but you don't make 4 final...

Re: Penalty for the \"C\" word??

he said the word cunninglingus (hope it's ok to use word in forum?), for those of you that are curious - or so he claimed. I wasn't there so not sure if he was joking or not.

Re: Anyone know what happended to Phill Hellmuth?

I think it was in level 3 when the blinds were 50/100 with no antes, but don't quote me on that. blinds were def. at or below 100/200 though with no ante yet.

Re: Doyle Brunson\'s exit pot in HORSE

I was at the final table for Doyle's last hand, and I'll tell you what I saw from my perspective.

As is often the case, the last hand is not what you should be focusing on, but rather the big...

Re: It it final yet? Chip Reese 2006 WSOP $50K H.O.R.S.E Champ

Re: It it final yet? Chip Reese 2006 WSOP $50K H.O.R.S.E Champ

I think it's pretty interesting that Chip is the Rodney Dangerfield of tournament poker - he doesn't get any respect. But let's face it - his results before this event in tournamnet NLHE haven't...
