Re: TPWK draw heavy board

By the way, I like the c/c on the river. If villain has a Q or T here he may bluff bet. 9 is also somewhat more likely to bet than to call.

Re: TPWK draw heavy board

[ QUOTE ]
Hmmm, now you got me thinking. So if they all call with the hands mentioned above then is it:
1. a value bet since they are individually all -EV? OR
2. bad for us b/c we have to add...

Re: AQ unimproved HU OOP - how far to go?

The only thing you can reasonably hope for is villain going crazy with a deuce or bluffing his busted SD. Neither is at all likely, so the later in the hand you get the worse your calls are. I think...

Re: Blinds, damn blinds...

If I fold, I don't think I'm doing it on the river. At that point there has to be at least a 10:1 chance that the villain is betting A4, Ax or a whiffed flush. On the turn, your combination of outs...

Re: Turning a -EV draw into a +EV lead (micro theory)

Since no one has yet, I'd like to at least mention pot size, since it should be a consideration. Here it is small. So by virtue of that alone, I almost always check and fold and look for other...

Re: My inner calling station lives....

I guess there's some chance of A7, but I think villain's most likely holding is small or medium pocket pair. UI ace is another possibility. With big pockets or a T, he would have more likely have...

Re: A2s cutoff, playing more by image

On the Qc river, I think only hand s you beat are folding. Just check behind.

Re: A2s cutoff, playing more by image

GRUNCH:

I think a good, tight player is calling down a pf 3-betting hand. Plus, if he's overly aggressive post flop, there's extra risk of c/r. Plus, Q and T aren't the scariest cards in the...

Re: 4 flush board

My initial reaction was to slow down on the turn. Hero has shown villain some real aggression on the flop and was raised on the turn anyway.

Is this bad?

Re: Standard ?

Well whether it is standard or not, I fold K4o until the unknown becomes a known maniac.

Re: 1/2 RR against my pf steal attempt, I hit TP

Well I must admit I would have played it exactly the same, figuring BB's 3-betting range pf is very broad -- includes pp's, QJ etc. But I guess an unknown's 3b range is tighter than I thought.

Most of the time... but not often enough to keep you from calling down anyway.

Re: A J offsuit leak

I think a raise on this flop is just spew with this large of a field. All you're going to do is bloat the pot.

You're bloating the pot for the 50% of times that the FD...

Re: Pocket pair 99

GRUNCH:

PF: I don't like raising here. When there are this many limpers, I treat middle pairs more like small pairs, hoping for a set. Raising is okay too, though.

Flop: Standard. You have to...

Re: $.05/$.10, 6-max: How do I play this flop?

GRUNCH:

Fold preflop. 75o is not worth even 1/2 SB.

Flop -- do not c/r. C/R here is ludicrous. No one was aggressive preflop, so you don't have any assurance anyone will bet for you.

Re: There must be a better line... (TT shorthanded again)

I don't think we need to raise the flop for information. We know villain has what he thinks is a super premium hand ... And probably is since op didn't mention an exceptional capping range. I'm...

I thought I read that with 2 overcards to your pair on the board you are about at a coin flip and these are worse, a big pair and 2 suited. Is that right? or is that to simple?

Re: TT versus SB 3-bet

The line I like is call pf and raise flop. This is a very good flop for you.
